This is a hypothetical. Interested in your thoughts on this. Please no "why would you do that?" kind of comments for this hypothetical, I ask. Thanks!
I know there are brands where you can get either a DA/SA setup or a SAO setup. So, let's say you have a DA/SA semi-auto pistol. Would it be a problem if you tapped and threaded a pretravel screw into the trigger that stopped the forward travel just at the reset, to where any shot is [in effect] a single action pull,.....and ultimately, making it a SAO?
It may be where your trigger travels quite a few millimeters past the reset, thus making the travel back to the break point long and spongy. I guess....that would be a "why".
Any comments would be appreciated.
