I just had to renew my carry permit, marking 10 years of carrying almost daily. No accidents or near accidents. Only two incidents when I needed to deescalate with the awareness that I was armed.
Still a newbie compared to some of you, I'm sure.
I was a late adopter (last year) of the P365 with manual safety, and I'm happy with it. Because I absolutely need to keep it concealed in my job, it is my current compromise, in a hybrid holster at four o'clock. I've liked others -- especially the Glock 27, Glock 30, S&W M60, and Kahr K40 Covert -- but they either weren't as concealable (G30), shootable in my hands (M60), or lacked capacity (K40). The Glock 27 would be my close second.
The only other gun I'm carrying regularly is a Micro Desert Eagle on runs. It would not be my favorite 380 for daily carry. But it points well, shoots straight, and has a heavy double action pull -- which I consider a feature since I would be drawing with sweaty hands from a waist pack (another compromise). And a G4 G20 when backpacking.
Here's a 50-round target from the P365. 5-inch circle at 10 yards. Nothing special and informal. I was doing some reload and sight-acquisition practice (because I recently had Lasik). I've also done other drills, of course. (I'm much better with 1-shot groups
