Anyone have thoughts on this….

I have one........https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/christensen-ranger-first-blush-review.890219/

My impressions have only improved since getting the gun. I still dont have a huge selection of ammo, and the Eley is 16 bucks a box, which im not willing to spend, but that will usually hold at or under MOA. With everything else, it runs about 1-1.5MOA out to 100yds, which is as far as I've shot.
One thing I've noticed is the guns actually light enough for me to have to work at shooting it well. I also added a stainless brake to the front to move the weight farther forward, as it tends to be pretty neutral and I prefer forward balance on rifles.

When ever Bergara offers their BMR Carbon in .17 ill probably pick up one of those to mess with also, but right now my rimefire collection is set at 3. The Ranger, a heavily customized 457, and a Ruger Precision Rimfire.....of the three I prefer the Ranger for general use.

Thanks for the link to your review. It is a lot of gun for the money!

Sub MOA at 50 yards isn’t much for a $900 “precision rifle”, but I suspect it shoots well within that. It should anyway.

I wonder if they are looking to grab some of the NRL-22 market.
I think its plenty accurate mechanically, but i dunno if its heavy/stable enough for NRL use?

I know you have a 457 as well. Is the christianson 2.5x the gun the cz is? I'm pretty happy with my cz......
Yes....No....Maybe?
IMO your paying for incremental increases in performance at this point.

The Ranger was about a pound, pound and a half, lighter out of the box than the 457.
With the ammo i have, maybe twice as accurate.
Has a noticeably better trigger.
Uses 10/22 mags.....
And thats just what i can think of off hand, but its upto the buyer to decide if those changes makes up for the extra cost.

Equally, im upto over a grand into my 457, and quite honestly the actual improvements are more along the lines if fitting my personal taste as opposed to actually make a major performance difference....tho the LW barrel did bring its accuracy inline with the Ranger, and its a much easier gun to shoot well.

I find it odd that your CZ is less than superbly accurate. I think I’d have to go into an Anschutz to beat my 453.
Might have just been the availability if ammo, I only had a few options and none it liked, tho all were perfectly acceptable. 1-1.5" at 50yds was about average. The .17hmr barrel would turn in sub moa at 100, but that wasnt what i bought the gun for lol.

I checked over at another forum. Mixed reviews there.
There were a number of teething issues with the early production guns, im honestly not sure if they have all been remedied as of yet either.

Another rifle that maybe of interest is the Bergara BMR. They have had spotty availability, but my ffl buddy said they are available in carbon and steel barrels right now.
Im trying to find the cash (ie sell stuff) to afford a carbon one right now
