What's the most accurate 9mm?

Most accurate question wasn't meant to be about machine rests but rather individual capabilities and perceptions.
I'm well aware that we have quite a few individuals here who shoot 1/4" groups at a hundred yards but in my world 7 yards is the new 25. :scrutiny:

Then the question should have been: "Which of your 9mm pistols do you shoot the best?"

Interesting

Maybe you should have titled the thread differently.…such as “Out of the 9mms you own, which do you shoot the best?”

It’s a completely different question and totally subjective. It’s also not going to give you any clear information, but whatever floats your boat.

Sorry for the confusion, my bad, should have worded the post better.

Nice collection bc1023. Would love a chance to shoot the Sig P210 Super Target.

Thanks. They are very nice. Sadly, I really don't shoot them much any longer, as they are no longer made and value has really gone up. They are more just collectibles for me now.

I have a 5" silver Super Target as well...

As for this thread, there are others I have forgotten about that I shoot as well as those I already posted.

The H&K USP is supposed to have very high mechanical accuracy. But in my experience some pistols are easier to shoot accurately. Like a VP9.

Then the question should have been: "Which of your 9mm pistols do you shoot the best?"
Gonna agree with this.

The most accurate 9mm pistols I've ever witnessed being shot, or fired myself, have included several SIG P-210s (including a couple of the new production 210s, which displayed phenomenal accuracy), some top-end SIG P-226s and a couple of the competition model CZs.

The most accurate in my hands 9mm has been the SIG P-226 Legion SAO. Period, nothing has come close. Next most accurate pistol I've shot the best is a Langdon Beretta 92FS.

The H&K USP is supposed to have very high mechanical accuracy.
I'm just gonna disagree here with this, having been issued, and instructed on/with the USP for several years. No knock on the reliability or durability of the USP, but our factory Berettas were noticeably more accurate.

Well, they are not 9mms, but I have seen some very accurate .38 revolvers and some very accurate .38 revolver shooters. Cylinder alignment and lockup is good enough to equal or beat automatics. And it takes a wonderful automatic trigger to equal a regular revolver.

iron sights (not that they matter with a machine rest but they do if I am holding it).

We had a concrete and steel Ransom Rest base at the Old Range. FLG and I once set up a good 1911 and laid it every shot with a scope sight in V blocks. It went from good to great vs regular Ransom operation.

Sphinx and CZ85 Combat surpassed the Sig, Beretta and S&W that I've have owned (other brands make no sense to mention). This small comparation is for production category only, otherwise is unfair (means from factory no upgrades made).
Btw all the pistols had adjustable rear sights.
My diatribe is Sig 210 old production vs new model since the trigger group was changed, I will see someday.

Well, if it's stand up shooting, no bench rests.

CZTS2, and it's clones.
Atlas 2011.
Cheely 2011.

Big heavies with extremely light triggers. Usually tight thin FO sights. And they all get better in .40.
