What is the LEAST fun gun you ever fired, one that hurt you

Used to think it was a 12 ga. Rossi single-shot SG with slugs, but then I shot a friends .410 single-shot. Seriously. It has so much drop at the comb that it practically slapped me in the forehead! My little Rossi single-shot 20 ga. isn't much fun either with any type of "standard" shell, let alone 3" mags. My .300 Mag is a pussycat comparatively.
The M6 Scout over/under 410/22 is similar. The 410 recoils harder than any 20 gauge I have ever shot. Really short stock and a slightly funky hold to squeeze the “trigger” makes it painful for me.

In no particular order: A snub nose 44 magnum, a DE 50 caliber, a Yugo 8mm Mauser with some very hot ammunition that must have been loaded for some type of machinegun, and a 300 win mag on a Mauser action that was designed as a lightweight sporter that I borrowed on a blacktail deer hunt in Ca. (non lead bullets were required, so we just used loaner rifles with the required ammo- but I did get a nice buck with that shoulder-breaker). Also- either of my 12 gauge shotguns when firing 3" turkey loads. I really don't enjoy patterning those things, so when I found a round/choke combo that worked good, I bought a bunch of ammo and called it quits- if I fire any of that stuff now, its because it is being shot at a turkey.

Ah! Forgot one. Some other tales of injury reminded me.

The Browning High Power.

No, really. I no longer have a scar, because it has been years but because I was around enough GP35 people I HAD to shoot them, a lot. Not a round or two, but hours of drills with them. If I grip it right, like you should, to control recoil etc properly, the hammer comes back and puts a rectangular hole in the top of the web of my hand. Then the blood comes out. If I grip it oddly, it only just kisses that, and it doesn't take much shooting (esp with a scar from before!) to make that hurt.

Commander/Rowel hammer? Still contacts, just whacks instead of putting a hole, but similar, I can end up with road-rash looking damage, spots of blood coming out over a big rectangular area. I am consistent so do that for a couple hours and it makes a pattern, you can count the grooves in the hammer.

I shoot, as stated, a LOT of things. Cannot, cannot shoot a high power without there being medical treatment afterwards. This makes me sad as maybe the prettiest GUN I have ever seen was a former friend's GP35 (all customized) and it got for reasons left to his wife when he split for another woman, then he went crazy enough we all lost touch and the ex-wife we still know. So some years post-divorce, I am offered this for... a song. I may name my price but explicitly not what it's worth, just a few hundred bucks friend pricing. She actually came by with it, I sat on it for 2 weeks before I decided: nope, can't do it, helped her sell it for what it was worth instead.

Single shot 10ga with "goose loads. I was only 13 and not very big, actual knocked me off my feet. my sw airwieght with 38spl+P self defense loads.

My Grandmother had a little H&R .22 revolver that was the least fun gun I can remember shooting.

It didn’t hurt anything except my feelings though. I could spit more accurately.

12ga 00BK is never fun to pattern .
I sold my M&P340 , because it wasn’t much fun to shoot . Replaced it with a 642 .

I briefly owned a Ruger No. 1 in 375 H&H. Recoil from my 458 was bigger, but it was a slow push - OK, a BIG slow push, but you could roll with it. The Ruger was a big fast slap that was no fun at all, even offhand. It got sold quickly. I also fired a 300 Weatherby from a bench once. Once being the operative word. It was like getting punched in the face a very big guy.

Jmorris, that reminded me of a little nickel plated 8 shot 22 with a 3 inch barrel, my uncle had when I was a kid. At 20 feet the bullets were keyholing.

Took a turkey left handed with a 3" 2 1/4 oz Activ. Recoil in my 1300 Win turned out to be 55lbs. I landed up with 3 loose teeth when my thumb smacked me in the mouth. Years later all of my upper teeth started to get loose. I wear dentures now.

Shot a Ruger #1 in 458 once but it wasn't as bad as a hot 45-70 out of a H&R Handi-rifle. That one was pretty rough.

I loved those Activ shells. Still have a few boxes. Those 12 ga 3" are mini howitzer.
Even heavy clothing, goose hunting; shoulder would be hamburger

Stevens 311 12 gauge.
Don't know what load.
My Dad's drunk friend was intending to make a man of me, so he braced my shoulder with his, raised the gun to my shoulder and pulled both triggers.
Knocked us both rolling.
I was an under-sized seven-year-old.
Shotguns still don't appeal to me... .

My most unpleasant and Least "Fun Gun" to shoot would be my Astra Model 600 9mm. On a good day, and these were few and far between, I could get through maybe 50 rounds before my hand was done shooting for the rest of the week.

A few other straight blowback guns that I was never very fond of either were the "new" Mauser HSc in .380, the Walther PPKs in .380, and the Walther PP in .32.

Hurt? None.

But my 870 rifled barrel with Federal magnum sabot slugs was quite unpleasant.

The one I liked the least was the humble LCR with +P in it. Much preferred hot .44 mag or 10mm loads to that little hand slapper.

I don’t miss it.

Oh, that’s a good one too. I liked shooting mine but never could leave a range session without losing some blood.

Carrying it was annoying too since the spur hammer would jab my ribs something fierce if I bent the wrong way.

Also don’t miss it, but just a little beavertail would have solved it’s problems.

KelTec P3AT slaps my trigger finger hard,

Original Hi-Point 9mm carbine that lined up on my cheek bone just right and smacks me good enough to leave a bruise.

I don't have problems with Mosins even after a couple of hundred rounds. Lucky I guess.

Have never had hammer bite or slide bite even shooting PPKs or High Powers. Have read much about it but have never come close. I must have a weird grip or boney hands? Anyway, I owned(for a short time) a Detonics Pocket 9 pistol. No bite but it felt like holding on to an exploding cheese grater every time I shot it. Sold/traded it to a dealer who was hot to have it and for very little more bought a Ruger Blackhawk from him.
