My Burris droptine scope came. Pleasetly surprised with it.

I put it on my Remlin XT 22. I have a Fullfield E1 6.5x20x50 on my 17HMR. It's made in the Phillipines too. I wasn't planing on keeping it on the 17HMR. But the gun shoots very accurate with it. So it stayed.

The lower end scopes older than the ff4s, but after the us made fullfields, i believe were all made in the Philippines. Ive had most of the ff2/e1 line and one Droptine....i like the ff2s and Droptine glass better than the E1s for some reason, but all are quite good

IMG_0810.JPG I'm a huge fan of Burris optics. They give a quality optic at a fair price along with excellent customer service and an excellent warranty. I've got the FF2 3x9-40 on my RAR 5.56 and the Droptine 3x9-40 on my 10/22. Both have nice glass and hold zero.

I agree. The three Burris models I've tried (Fullfield II, E1, and Timberline) simply kicked the butts of the other brands I've tested them against in side-by-side comparisons, even when the other brands cost 2x or more what the Burris are available for.

I'd like to see what one of their higher-end models will do, but I don't think I can justify that kind of spend due to the law of diminishing returns. Well, either that, or I don't want to mess around and discover that I need to spend thousands on a scope to be thrilled. :)

Looking out over town with it. The image is nice and crisp. I was expecting made in China too. With it being a cheaper model. It's made in the Phillipines. It also has adjustable paralax. Still deciding what to mount it on. It's the 4.5x14x42.

Good to know, thought there were a China product as well now I'll have to rethink buying one or two. Need more glass for a couple rifles. Might just bite the bullet if for nothing else than to compare for myself against my ff2.

I've got an e1 that is very clear. I like it a whole lot. Except! That the power ring is very hard to turn. When I was at the nra show I handled a few more, and they were all stiff. It's the only thing from keeping from getting 2 more. I did look through a ff4 4-16x, and a signature hd 3-15x . It's hard to tell resolution and clarity in a dim convention center, but with both set on 10x, the ff4 was easier to get behind than the Signature. And the power ring on bother were easier to move than the e1.

It arrived while I was at work. Don't know what yhe apes at ups did but one end of the box had what smelled like oil all over it. Luckily it first seep through and the optic is fine. I looked through it after opening it up and checked it out
Was able to read the alarm sign on the door of the business about 70 yds away. Haven't yet done the side by side but from initial point of view is its almost a clone of my ff2 4.5-14x42.

I've compared my FF II and E1 4.5-14x42s very carefully side by side. I cannot detect a difference in the optical quality between the two, which is a compliment to the E1, IMO, because the FF II is very good when compared to anything I've seen below about $500-$550 street price.
