I found this interesting list at this link:

https://www.ammoland.com/2022/01/list-anti-gun-business-avoid-giving-your-money/#axzz7XiI13wst

Bank of America is on that list. Unfortunately, I have had a Bankamericard many years now to enjoy the cash rewards. Is there another good cash rewards credit card I can apply for that is not known for supporting anti-gun causes? I have $4,000 credit line on my B of A card now. I'm afraid I will lose my credit line if I switch to a card company that isn't known to be anti-gun.

Is there a non-anti-gun alternative to Uber and Lyft? I have only used Uber twice in my life. Fortunately, my reliable Toyota doesn't require me to use paid local transportation often. I hate the taxi companies where I live and I hate local buses.

I used to love Sara Lee All-Butter Pound Cakes and they seem to have the only decent-quality lower-priced sandwich bread I buy at my local Walmart so now I am now cornered on buying bread.

BringHomeTheBacon

Thanks for the link!

Actually I don't do business with any of those companies, watch any of those shows, browse any of those websites, or go to the movies.

You never buy Sara Lee products? It looks like I have to buy Wonder sandwich white bread at an extra 30 cents a loaf and not tasting quite as good and fresh as Sara Lee sandwich white. I also have a PayPal account and an eBay account. I don't know of any alternative to eBay for selling used stuff or PayPal for online transactions. I wish some more pro-gun folks would open up more businesses to compete with the known anti-gun ones.

My Discover and SoFi credit cards give decent cash back benefits. I don't know if either is particularly pro 2A. But I refuse to do business with Capital One or Chase from previous dealings with them.

I have bene getting some dental work done at the Univ of Texas Dental School here in Houston. I noticed that if I connect to their wifi network while I'm on their campus, it blocks me from being able go to most obviously firearm related webpages.

My local hospital blocks gun related sites too

I had a very bad experience with Discover back in 2016-2019. Long story, but I ended up collecting $2,100 from them in a lawsuit. I don't know if they are anti-gun but they are based in Utah.

I feel ya and sorry about your troubles. With credit card and really any financial services companies we are often left with choosing among the lesser of several evils.
One thing I do like about Discover is when I have to call them I get to talk to someone in the US and not some guy in Pakistan or Sri Lanka with an accent as thick as a Simpsons parody and named "Steve."

I am just finding out that Wells Fargo is gun friendly and has their Active Cash card as well as protection if your phone is lost.

Fleet Farm in the upper midwest used to be really gun friendly, until latest owners took over, now they only care about profits from guns. The old owners actually supported CCW in the stores. I'd add USBank also to the unfriendly list, I believe they no longer offer financing to any gun related company.

I boycott a few places, but not for their firearms stance alone. I tend to buy locally from small businesses to the extent possible, but there are some I've stopped frequenting for various reasons.
also have a PayPal account and an eBay account.
I do too. And I smile inside every time I buy something gun related on eBay and pay for it with PayPal.

Your list would be way shorter if you figured out which companies haven't denounced gun ownership.

Well, they closed down their branch bank in my town that was always busy and left branch banks open in two other little dinky towns. That meant that if I needed to do any business inside the bank it required me to make an almost 50 mile drive. I no longer do any business with Wells Fargo banks. The one I switched to just sent me a letter saying they are going to start charging me 5 bucks a month for a statement so I'm on down the road to another bank. There are two left here to choose from.

That list did not say if those businesses actually GAVE MONEY to support anti-gun causes or whether they support any anti-gun politics. They may just have a no-gun employee policy, no-gun-related-transactions policy and/or a no-guns-on-premises policy. Any of those businesses could just be outspoken against gun rights. I wish the NRA and the Gun Owners of America would compile a comprehensive list of anti-gun persons and entities and cite specifically what they do or say to make them anti-gun specifically. Does Sara Lee give campaign money to elect anti-gun politicians? Do they just not allow guns on their premises? Does Bank of America just not finance guns? Do they give anti-gun campaign money? What has Alec Baldwin done or said to put him in the anti-gun bag?

Dear Members of the Senate :
Our hearts are with the victims, their families and loved ones and all those affected by the tragic
shootings El Paso and West Texas , and Dayton , Ohio . These families becamemembers of a
club that no one wants to join : the millions of Americans whose lives have been forever altered
by gun violence .
Every day , 100 Americans are shot and killed and hundreds more are wounded . These are more
than mass shootings ; in recentweeks , gun violence has devastated Chicago , Canoga Park ,
Newport News, Gilroy and Brooklyn , among others . This is a public health crisis that demands
urgent action
As leaders of some of America s most respected companies and those with significant business
interests in the United States, we are writing to you because we have a responsibility and
obligation to stand up for the safety of our employees , customers and all Americans in the
communities we serve across the country . Doing nothing America ' s gun violence crisis is
simply unacceptable and it is time to stand with the American public on gun safety .
Gun violence in America is not inevitable ; it' s preventable . There are steps Congress can , and
must, take to prevent and reduce gun violence . We need our lawmakers to support common
sense gun laws that could prevent tragedies like these .
That s why we urge the Senate to stand with the American public and take action on gun
safety by passing a bill to require background checks on all gun sales and a strong Red
Flag law that would allow courts to issue life- saving extreme risk protection orders .
Background checks and Extreme Risk laws (also referred to as " Red Flag laws" ) are proven to
save lives. Since Congress established the background check system 25 years ago , background
checks have blocked more than 3 . 5 million gun sales to prohibited purchasers, including to
convicted felons, domestic abusers, and people who have been involuntarily committed .
However, in the decades since , the law requiring background checks on gun sales has not been
updated to reflect how people buy guns today . The Senate must follow the House s lead by
passing bipartisan legislation that would update the background checks law , helping to keep guns
out of the hands of people who shouldn ' t have them , in an effort to save lives. Background
checks on all gun sales are a common - sense solution with overwhelming public support and are a
critical step toward stemming the gun violence epidemic in this country .
Perpetrators of mass shootings , school shootings, and hate crimes often display warning signs
before committing violent acts . Additionally , people who end their life with a gun also often
show signs that they are in crisis before they act Interventions in states with ExtremeRisk laws
have already prevented potential tragedies . Expanding Extreme Risk laws to enable families and
law enforcement nationwide to intervene when someone is at serious risk of hurting themselves
or others is critical to preventing future tragedies .

These proposals are common - sense , bipartisan and widely supported by the American public . It
is time for the Senate to take action .
Sincerely

"Gun Violence" is a key piece of language that antis like to chant repeatedly. When is an inanimate object ever violent? They like to jump aboard the "Assault Weapons" bandwagon as well. I have not seen one speck of evidence to compel me to believe that even one innocent person was saved by any FBI background check to date.

Furthermore, I side with those states who interpret the Second Amendment to protect the right to carry a gun in public. Requiring citizens to pay money, wait and go through hoops get a "gun license" or a "gun permit" imposes a tax upon the right to keep and bear arms and treats concealed carry in public as a privilege and not a right. Furthermore, the Second Amendment doesn't call for a "sensitive places" test to keep and BEAR arms. I feel riding a New York subway to be far more dangerous than taking a stroll along Fifth Avenue. There is no logical argument there is no need for armed personal defense there at all. You might even need a gun in that subway to defend against giant attack rats there if not against muggers.

Yeah, how come I don't see people upset about "Automobile Violence," "Knife Violence," "Baseball Bat Violence." etc. These people seem to hate guns. I wonder how many of them really care that some people have been shot up by mass shooters who suspiciously all seem to have been on psych meds. How did these people get guns? I almost think the powers that be must be encouraging, if not enabling, some of these mass shootings in order to raise emotions against guns.
