We can surmise shooter did not like Independence Day and/or citizens who celebrate Independence Day.

I don't know. Some of them are unique cases, but there may be some underlying common elements, which is what RONALD MORPHEW is asking, but I don't know it. I think somebody who knows the kind of people these shooters are would have to say. That's what I would like to hear.

PS - As I was righting this, there was an announcement on TV to be on the lookout for someone I think was the Chicago shooter. It was a young white kid with lots of tattoos on his nick.

Hmm, seems like another "engineered event" to me.

Prior to this shooting 54 people had been shot and 7 killed in other areas of Chicago so far this weekend. We heard nothing from the antis regarding this as it didn't further the anti's agenda. Before the bodies in the Highland Park shooting were cold the antis jumped all over this as an opportunity to promote their anti 2A agenda as it fits their narrative that AR's need to be banned. Pritzker is on Fox News as I type this going on about "assault weapons" and Tammy Duckworth is pushing for an "assault weapon" ban. Using people's deaths to promote their agenda while putting in policies that are soft on violent criminals and lead to the deaths of people in other parts of the city is disgusting.

It sounds like they are pushing it to be an assault weapon but the police say it was a high powered rifle.

When I was a kid (10ish) I had MY guns in a gun rack in MY bedroom. The arsenal included a 410, a 20 gauge pump hand-me-down, and a Marlin 22 single shot. The ammo was in the drawer that was at the bottom of the gun rack. Today, there are probably many places where parents would be charged if such a thing was reported to the authorities, even if the guns never left the rack. It does seem that these problems seem to be confined to larger cities, where the cops are in a toxic work environment, and that there is almost always a recurrent theme of no male present in the perp's home or life, and little if any adult supervision.
