Interesting gun smuggling Canadian story

Yes, those darn Americans, flying guns in to our law abiding Canadian subjects.

Tell me then, why are the guns worth so much more there? Why are they being bought by Canadians that way?

“Canada is law abiding, the black market for hand guns is not large.”
As they are being delivered 10+ at a time by drone…;)

I mean, they used to say that the border between Canada and the United States is the longest and least guarded Border in the world.

There are a couple places (0 Avenue Surrey. BC) where literally you can walk out your back door and walk across the street and walk from the United States to Canada.

It can't be that difficult to get illicit firearms across the border.

About the huge supposed recent Ban on most semi-auto rifles in Canada.

A Canadian gun owner on a different gun forum claimed a few months ago that Canada’s bureaucrats are “visciously incompetent “ regarding this radical wish list and implementation.

and are almost totally ineffective with this New, Sweeping Ban.

One of the factors he described (a few months ago) is that the “ban” was not actually Canadian law.

Not surprising to hear of smuggling to or from Canada. It's been happening as long as that border has existed. Back in the 1980's I spoke with old timers who told me of all the cases of Canadian whisky that were ferried across Lake Ontario in cabin cruisers at night during prohibition. That's a one-way trip of 50 something miles of open water from the shoreline around here where they brought it ashore and stashed it in a nearby barn that still stands.

If guns were cheaper there there would be, one only has to look at where most of our illicit drugs come from.

Washington? They handled he war on drugs like it the Vietnam conflict. A ww2 d day approach would have been more successful.

Don't know why they're smuggling guns out of Canada when they should be going the other way Canadian militia anyone.

They are going into Canada. Trudeau is blaming his problems on us…
Not his ever peaceful and law abiding Canadian criminals. Evidently his humans are so much different than ours.o_O

It used to be BC bud going south, cocaine coming north. I've been crossing the border trucking for 35+ years and have had a few inquiries if I was interested in making extra money. Not!
It changed from coke to guns in the last 10-15 years due to the increased gang activity. It's quite a process to have a federal possession acquisition license up here so there's quite the market for unregistered firearms.
