What's everyone carrying?

I tried a G19 tonight with one of these holsters and it printed pretty good. I also had a looser shirt on. I don’t like IWB holsters. Maybe I’ll try a thumb break and see if it helps. View attachment 1087088

I've never had much luck with OWB holsters and actually concealing a gun under my shirt, I go IWB pretty exclusively. The best luck I've had was my bobtail commander 1911 in a high riding pancake under a flannel, but I always found a Vedder Light Tuck much easier to conceal and more comfortable since I'm used to it and OWB has new rub spots. If I was going to go back to OWB and leather, I'd look at some of the "low profile" leather options that Wilson sells, they seem to be pretty well designed for a high ride and concealment, though pretty darned pricy.

The thinner profile of something like the Shield, 365, hellcat, whatnot might help there, the Glock 19 is easy to carry but does have a pretty squared and thicker grip.

There is a topic now, on the Semi-Auto Handgun page:

CZ 75D Compact PCR .

A Czech rifle is my favorite carbine:
VZ-58, imported by Czechpoint.

It’s not much a coincidence when people consider the engineering quality of both.

Currently, the long pants are carrying a 686+ and the shorts are carrying a G20. Whatever I'm wearing, the G43 is IWB or in a pocket right now.

Simply Rugged holsters all the way around.

Is it lazy to have one holster on my shorts and a different one on my long pants? Yep. And it works just fine.

I usually carry a Taurus 605 .357 snubby but stoked with .38 Special ammo. However, when I need to be discreet (like when I go to church) I carry the original model of the Ruger LCP in .380.

How reliable has your EMP been?
I should ask, "which one?" I've had three, now have two.

I started out a couple of years ago, bought a used 9mm version, and had quite a few issues with failures to feed and some not-quite-into-battery problems, which I first attributed to my handloads, but I had the same issues with a box of factory ammo.. I sent the pistol back to SA, they had it for a month, and it ran perfectly when I got it back. The repair sheet said they pinned the ejector, replaced and tuned the extractor, reamed the chamber and polished the feed ramp. SA didn't charge me a dime, shipping was free both ways, and I'd told them up front I had bought the gun used.

I had been looking for a .40S&W version, which SA had pulled the existing inventory and then stopped making them. I finally found one, but the guy selling it said it had to be a package deal with another 9mm. he had one of each, with hard cases, Kydex holster and double magazine holders, plus a soft IWB holster for each. So, I bought them both, and when I fired them they both ran fine. I kept the "new" 9mm and sold the one I'd had worked on (actually traded it and some cash on a M41 S&W). I've only fired the "new" 9mm a few magazine loads, I don't shoot 9mm much.

The .40 version, I started having similar issues to my first 9mm, but when I started troubleshooting and looked harder at my fired cases, I saw some pressure signs; a few pierced primers and several more flattened ones. That surprised me, because I was having no issues with the same ammo in my .40 BHP. The ammo was running just under 1250 fps MV with a 155 grain JHP. So, I made a batch and dropped it one grain (using Longshot), which dropped the MV down to 1100 fps, and it's run fine since then. I was about ready to send the .40 EMP4 back to SA, but I'm holding off to see what a couple hundred of the lower-power loads do as for reliable feed and function.

I hope this wasn't TMI for a simple question. I really like the feel of the EMP4, and when it's running right is as accurate as I can shoot any of my other guns.

I see the Springfield Hellcat gets it’s fair share of carry. Are the XD’s and XDM’s not popular?

Thank you for the well thought out reply!

I had an original EMP 9mm, which wouldn't run reliably at all with most ammo. I was bummed, as i carried that pistol really well.

Fast forward today, I picked up a newer EMP 9mm for a great deal I found at a gun shop. I haven't shot it yet, but I'm hoping they fixed most of the issues of the early guns...

I own 24 handguns. All quality arms. I hope I don't live to regret it, when I go out the door, Keltec .380 with spare mag is 99% of time in my right front pocket.

I know I'm late to the thread but I figured I'd post anyway.

Sig P226 legion on a tier 1 concealment appendix holster with spare mag.

Eta: I used a Dremel tool to slim the holster down a bit. It had extra material on the edges that made it a little less comfortable.

I have a pic somewhere

Wish my back hadn’t decided that 43+ oz is just too much for it or I might still be carrying my 226 Legion, sweet gun and conceals surprisingly well considering the grip and slide length.

Well, for the last five years or more I carried a pair of J-Frames. This past winter I inherited a Shield 9 and a XDM 3.8 in 9mm, After some Range time, I decided to carry them. I always have one of my J-Frames in a pocket but, now one of the semi’s are in the waist. I just pick and choose from my rotation.
