Parallel....I've never been able to get it to fire more than 1 round at a time...hence the 'sarcasm' added in my post.

Well, I love my 1981 Colt commander and carried it many years. But when I was required to carry a double action semi, I bought and came to know my Smith 457. That thing is a tank, never has had a issue and I have fired thousands of rounds thru it. Still have them both, but if I had to go back in harms way, it would probably be with the 457

"If you could have just one pistol chambered in 45 ACP, which would you choose?"

I currently have two handguns chambered in 45 ACP. A RIA 1911A1 and a S&W Model 25 Performance Center 45 ACP revolver. I shoot the Model 25 slightly more often than the 1911, as I shoot it slightly better and enjoy not having to search for brass.

However, if I could only have one 45 ACP, I would keep the 1911. A 1911 in 45ACP just seems right.

This Colt 1917, with its worn finish and 9 digit number (SSN?) carved on the side.
