My trusted EDC companion. Totally reliable and fits my hand just nicely. Shoots nice groups with Remington Green & White box 115 gr JHP factory ammo.
So, I decided to use the CZ in my club's monthly PPC pistol match. (yes I know, PPC is old school, but so are most of the competitors including me).
The pistol is reliable, so all I had to do is to find a reload that it liked. I found 4 different cast bullet designs and 5 different JHP designs. 124 grain and 115 grain bullets. I chose to use Bullseye propellant because it works very well with reduced loads. (No power factor here.) .
I assembled ladder loads at 0.2 grain increments, from 3.0 to 3.8 grains with all 9 bullet designs.
Then off to my club for 15 yard testing. All of them functioned flawlessly in the CZ. Some were really horrible with tumbling bullets ( a home cast bullet) and large groups. I fully expected the most expensive target bullet to be the most accurate. NOT. Jacketed bullets did OK, most cast bullets were about the same as JHP bullets. However one cast bullet stood out from the entire lot.
The cheapest cast bullet with the smallest (3.0 gr.) powder charge was clearly the best and with the least recoil.
Now I ask you, when has that EVER happened before? Usually the most expensive and highest powder charge wins the contest. Not this time. The 115 grain RNL coated Missouri Bullet Company did the best, smallest group, least recoil and flawless reliability. Kudos to CZ for making such a reliable pistol and Missouri for making such a good bullet.

Mods, debated where to post this, but because it is about a CZ pistol, chose to put it in Autoloading pistols. If you disagree, please move it, Thank you.

Chich, I do not get bore leading with Missouri coated lead bullets. This is with my CZ, 9mm, nor two .38 revolvers.
They are all loaded to moderate velocities. There is a small amount of deposit in the barrel, no more than with jacketed bullets.
One large benefit is that in comparison with lubricated lead bullets, the firearms are MUCH easier to clean after shooting with no greasy lubricant spread throughout the gun.

While not quite the same, I've been using a CZ P-01 for years as my CC, I also like to put my Streamlight TLR-2s (strobe-fearure) on it when I'm at home; take it off when I'm headed out the door (hence the rail)

While it's grip doesn't fit everyone, it does fit my hand (I know my memory is slipping but I swear the folks from CZ must've came to my house at some point in time to model the grip after my own hand!)

I only shoot home cast 120gr TC coated, and home cast 125 gr RN (both under 231 or Unique) lead, for practice as well as Hornady XPT and RMR 124gr SPR.

It's way more accurate than it has a right to be.

Also have a CZ full size stainless and, aside from the size possesses all the same attributes.

Ehh, what the heck

I'll NEVER be without my P-01 (or S&W 642 38.spl)

No idea about bullets. I’ve never analyzed that subject.

But,,,,my PCR has been so reliable with over 800 rds. Total, plus its unique ergos that I have never considered trading or selling…

…. despite selling a few Other excellent or superb 9mm handguns to provide cash to buy my PTR-91 rifles.

That's pretty much the same feeling I got the first time I handled the CZ75! I bought a P01 because it reminded me so much as being like the grip configuration of one of my favorite 9mm.s, the Browning Hi-Power, only slightly smaller!

I have a CZ 75b, 40 S&W. I like it a lot. It’s a fairly big pistol. I am not in love with the black coating on it. It’s tough enough, wears well but just doesn’t appeal to me. A few years ago, I found this Springfield P9C 9MM. It’s a beautiful little pistol, with nice polished blueing. It’s a CZ75 clone. It has been a fine pistol. Never shot cast reloads with it.

Here's my P-01 (CZ 75 compact). Interesting piece of trivia; CZ couldn't come up with demand for the P-01 (the American designation) during the panic buying of '08 so they shipped the European designation, CZ75 compact to fill the gap; identical in every way (mine has the NS# on the right side of the frame FWIW)

Here's mine with some grips I made from duck canvas and fiberglass resin.

Yes / Ano.
.
Czech gun  - my response is always Ano (Yes).

That is a country of origin from which I have bought three somewhat unfamiliar handguns and one fairly unfamiliar rifle, with no doubts or concerns.;) CZ-82, PO-1, PCR, & VZ-58 “Made In Czech Republic”.

Nothing was modified.- ever.

Does any of this need to be clarified? We have no known Czech or Slovak ancestors, by the way, nor spouses etc.

Dobru Noc - Good Night.

Yep, the only difference between the two guns was the slide markings. Everything else, like the NATO certification and even their stock numbers, were the same.

Never fired lead through any of my CZs (since I no longer handload, probably never will shoot lead through autoloaders again), but it's interesting that the OP got good results from his loads. Back when I did shoot lead through semi-autos, I found the cleaning time involved pretty much negated the cost benefits of using reloads.

Well, for those of us who don't need a rail on our compact CZs, there's

Not being one for carrying this piece C&L though, I'd rather have the de-cocker...

Just out of boredom one day a couple of years ago I put my P-01slide on my 75 Tactical frame.
It only went on far enough to get the slide stop in so I couldn't shoot it (not that it would have been a good idea but, back then I probably would have tried ) but I kinda liked the way it looked.

Top Gun Supply in Chesterland Oh we're "blowing" them out at the time.
I got one for me, one for a friend who has to work (they had strange store hours because they considered themselves an online store with some storefront hours.

Either way, I wish I would've bought a couple more since they were only $379!!

Best pistol I've ever had!

I think I got mine ten or eleven years ago. I had finally found a sporting goods store that carried CZs, mainly because of one of the salesclerks there also liked them. Since he did the ordering for the gun department, he always tried to get some of them in! He also gave me a real great price on the Kadet .22 conversion kit when I bought my P01. It was too good of a price to pass up!

I've been debating a new 22 pistol... I wonder if they make a Kadet with a threaded barrel...

CZ 75D PCR best pistol I have ever owned. It fits my hand like it was just for me. Accurate beyond belief. It's my EDC a little heavy but you get used to it.

Picked up a used PCR a few days ago. Came with Cajun Gun Works grips, which are mighty comfortable. However IMHO not so good looking. Always "wondered" about aluminum grips, so got a red set. Generally like red against black. Not in love with them, but they'll grow on me.
