Currently it's a SIG P365X, with a DeSantis SOF-TUCK IWB holster, as my primary EDC. Have a Ruger LCP MAX, with a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster, as back-up.

Before this I use to carry a Kahr CM9, along with a pair of S&W J frames: a Model 649 and a Model 638, for EDC. Had DeSantis SOF-TUCK holsters for all of them.

Hi...
Springfield Armory 1911 in .45ACP for every day carry. Nickle Colt Combat Commander .45ACP as a backup.

When hiking or hunting, any of a couple or three dozen SA or DA revolvers in. 357Magnum, .41Magnum, .45Colt, .44Magnum, .44Special, .45AutoRim, .357Maximum and .375SuperMag.

Very rarely carry my .22LR/.22Mag, .38Spl, 9mm, 10mm or .40S&W handguns although I do keep the high capacity M&P40 in .40S&W in my vehicle on the rare occasions that I venture into the urban war zone where the drug gangs have gun battles seemingly every day according to the news reports. I haven't been into the county seat urban area for five years...

i hate to admit it, as a confirmed lover of revolvers and rimfire ammo, whose only firearm for 25+ years was a wonderful taurus 85 38sp snubbie, my go-to, suburban edc favorite has evolved to a keltec p32 semiauto pistol in 32acp.

unless i’m way outdoors my ccw must be totally unseen for social reasons, the p32 is slim and compact but with a grip sleeve quite comfortable. i can shoot the p32 rather well. with various fmj ball ammo it’s been 100% reliable. for my humble suburban needs, consistently on-target 32acp is certainly useful.

otherwise revolvers rule. at a beach or while jogging a naa bugout1 22lr; on a hiking path or long distance drive a s&w 642 38sp loaded with wadcutters.

One of these, yes, it’s two guns but they are the same model and optic :)

The black one is my carry gun, the tan is back-up/range/dry fire

I think I've finally found "the one." I decided to just go with the "keep it simple stupid" line of thought, and picked up a new Walther PPK/s in 380. Sure, there are "better" choices...I've owned a lot of them myself, but I really like this thing, and shoot it fairly well. I carry it in an old school Bianchi Model 100 IWB holster. Drop a couple of extra mags in my pocket, and I'm set to go.

Backup? Well I've got some options, but this plan A.

The regulars here have probably seen the pictures I’ve posted of my two semi autos and four or five J-Frames. From the time I get dressed in the morning until undressed at night to go to bed two of said firearms are usually on me. But, the times in between even in pajamas at least a J frame is in my pocket. The past week or two was the model 37’s turn. 9C16A57D-FEDD-4054-AA17-2D0593E76D4F.jpeg

My one true EDC is a Glock 26. That's the gun I carry daily.

The 43 is If I'm going to the gym

The 19 is If I'm out running errands AND I'm not going to have to disarm to go in somewhere (VA).

ETA they're all 4th generation If that's relevant

I tallied the replies that selected either semi or revolver (two had both and were omitted). 50 replies tallied.
semi - 42 (84%)
revolver - 8 (16%)
On par with what I would have predicted.

It wasn't until ten round QUALITY micros starting rolling in that I switched. Before that - once the law allowed choice in a CCW instead of a specific weapon - I carried either a S&W Model 60 .357 or the SP101. But twenty rounds of +P 9mm in the Sig P365 including a spare mag was a powerful incentive to come over to the "Dark Side " as it were lol.

A 2.25” Ruger SP101 is my most-carried handgun, by far. I have several of them, but my oldest, with a factory spur-less hammer, seems to be carried the most. If I carry a larger handgun, I still tend to carry the SP101, along with the other gun. Sometimes, the second gun is a second SP101.

I do not “rotate,” as a matter of practice. Occasionally, the SP101 that I carry will not be that first one, with a spurless hammer, perhaps because I want a hammer spur, for retention in a particular holster, or, I may just decide that a 3” SP101 is a better choice for a particular environment. Or, I may just happen to grab my second or third 2.25” spurless-hammer SP101, for whatever reason. (The third has been prettied-up, a bit, so, I like to minimize wear and tear.) But, usually, my first spur-less SP101 is THE foundation of a day’s carry, whether or not I am also carrying a second gun.
