What to do with these old primers

Load a few and shoot them

They are the same as regular CCI 209's. Use them as such.

Gee, like a vision from the past. I don't load very many shotgun shells, but when I do, I still use the CCI primers I bought in Jonesboro, Arkansas, in the early 1980's. They still work just like day I bought them.

As long as they were stored well they’ll shoot fine. And if poorly stored, I’d still rather be behind them than in front of them. The 109s are the old CCIs and they are interchangeable. I used a number up a loud 15 years ago and would buy a pile of them now if the price was right.

I'm using those primers in my inline muzzleloader. They go bang every time.

The 209's are middle aged. Now the 100's and 57's may be considered old.

I just realized I had picked up 200 of those the other day in a stack of boxes under some Federal 209s (not 209a). Plus 5 that don’t match in a box (look like Remington primers). Those will be muzzleloader primers I guess.

And people wonder why we by inline muzzleloaders they're perfect for burning up questionable primers.

Send them to me and I swill dispose of them properly!!!

You mean these? And that also includes some Alcan 57's.

I remember alcan primers. My dad used them for years.

Shot quite a few the "old" primers ...Alcan, #57, Winchester ...

Got storeage box of the old Blue Peters hulls that used some those ....

Most of my 16 ga hulls use #57

Like many of the others have said. shoot them! Maybe not at the National Championships but I would use them.
