Look at all those abrasive belts.
Legendary multi-award-winning Texas knifemaker, and generous Knife Rights knife donor, Johnny Stout, has offered up one of his Basic Knifemaking Classes to a lucky Ultimate Steel Tail End Bonus Drawing winner. It features one-on-one instruction for the knife enthusiast from one of knifemaking's master instructors.

This is what Johnny made for this year's Knife Rights Ultimate Steel fundraiser. He's made a knife for KR every year for many years now. So far I've not been picked early enough to say, "DUH! I'll take Johnny's knife!".
Folks could always chance a few bucks on the opportunity to go to his basic knifemaking class.

"Use 'em like they're free" is the old saying. They are a big expense but using a worn out belt is like beating your head against the wall.
How often do you win!?!?!?
3 out of 5 years I get a call to pick something. Usually too late to get Johnny's knife.
My Wife...she gets a call every year and it early in the draw! She always picks the safari.
how many tickets do you buy?
I don't "buy" tickets. No one "buys" tickets. We donate to the funding of Knife Rights out of our own self interest in getting rid of stupid knife laws. Knife Rights kindly rewards those of us that donate in the Ultimate Steel fundraiser with chances to be drawn for donated items by the contributors.
What do I donate? Generally I donate $500 and then another $200 for the end contributions. My wife generally donates $200. I'm amazed she is often contacted before me and more often than me. Do each of us typically "win" more in retail value than we donate? Her, certainly. Me, generally. Especially when you factor in the up-front "thank you for your donation" knife most folks get donating more than $2oo (each of us decline those since KR is usually running short). Freedom isn't free.
