Second favorite battle or assault rifle after the AR15 or AK47?

Glad you like the handling. !!! Kind of a "clumsy" gun for me. That's funny, I picked up a wood furniture set and replaced the plastic fantastic stock on mine too. Awkward handling gun for me, but it sure looks nice with the wood. It's a bitchen looking rifle for sure. I figure it's my "fixed position" gun for when the looters or Chinese or Aliens or starving neighbors attack my house. If I need to venture out, and take the fight to "them", like the Josey Wales would do, it won't be the CETME.
Buzzard gotta eat, same as worms.

Probably an outlier here but the Thompson “Tommy gun” easily gets the number 2 spot for me.

Now if I were to actually have to use it for that purpose, it probably wouldn’t be In the top ten. But for my uses then yeah easy #2 spot.

Actually, this is two distinct questions (putting aside the terminology):

"Battle rifle" -- FAL
"Assault rifle" -- Daewoo K2

I like a 14 shot .357 lever gun or maybe an SKS. Maybe an AUG? I have never shot an AUG but I always thought they were cool.

After an AR15, would be either my AR10 or AR9.

Although I guess the AR9 is technically a PCC/PDW not a Assault or Battle Rifle.

Or if you mean other than the AR/AK series in whole, I really liked my buddies HK94.

Rossi 92 lever action. Can be stowed anywhere, behind a truck seat, boat, scabardded on an ATV. Not the fastest action to use but probably the fastest to get into use. It can be drawn almost like a sword from anywhere its stored, doesnt catch on anything or get hooked up. Can reload during firing sequences, can handle subsonics or full house and both are two legged deadly. Its very easy to teach, I find showing a family member or someone new to guns how to shoot and they learn basics of shooting a lever action faster than they do a semi-auto.
