Smith and Wesson CSX?

Although not a fan of SAO pistols, I bought a CSX as somewhat of a novelty...All metal (steel and aluminum), hammer fired, very compact, and with an empty 12 round mag, it weighs exactly .1 of an ounce more than my Beretta APX A1 Carry, which is polymer framed, striker fired, and only holds an 8 round mag. Kudos to Smith for that! If they ever make a DA/SA version, I'll grab one as well.

Detouring around the 1911 discussions and back to the OP’s initial comment, I get obsessed with a handgun from time to time and right now it’s the CSX.

I haven’t had an opportunity to hold a the CSX yet, and I pocket carry a Sig P938 with the 7-round extended magazine. From online spec’s and comparisons, length and height of the P938 w/ extended mag & the CSX are practically equal.

Being a gun nut, I’m trying to justify adding the CSX to my accumulation but I also think Styx observations are valid:
… no real aftermarket support, and the fact that the CSX does not really offer anything over other micro 9mm's… questions about the longevity of the line as it doesn't seem to be taking off. I foresee a nice rebate with a deep price cut on these in the future. Maybe then I will pick one up…

Can anyone who has both P938 & CSX offer any insight?

I don't own a P938 but I have a Kimber Micro 9 Rapide. I purchased the CSX because it pushed a lot of buttons on what I like in a Micro pistol. First is capacity 12 over 7. Second is the ability to switch the mag release.. I have stubby thumbs so having the ability to use my strong hand index finger makes mag changes quicker. Third, the ambi controls and safety levers that are lower profile and not susceptible to getting stroked on during recoil like my Micro 9. Fourth is the wider trigger that is comfortable to press.

I think S&W hit a home run with this little power house.

I can't argue with that.

Thanks bannockburn. Closest Cabelas (an hour from home) is but is only 15 minutes out of the way on my trip to work. Maybe I'll stop by and play with one this week. The concept is perfect but the execution needs a bit of work.
The Cabelas and Bass Pro around me will not allow you to take the trigger lock off nor to break down a pistol LGS are better IMO
