I'm not seeing a significant difference in size that a 25 acp would conceal in a pocket that a LCP 380 wouldn't.
I'm fortunate not to be limited to pocket carry and not to have to bet my life on the minimum.

Owning both the FN/Colt vest pocket and the Ruger LCP I am far more comfortable and assured that the former would be effective in an emergency than the later. Even at BBD I have little confidence in my Ruger LCP.

And I am far more likely to have one of my 25acps in a pocket than my LCP.

My Colt Vest pocket was reliable- but only if held in a death grip.

IME, most .25s, .32s, and even some very lightweight .380s are extra susceptible to limp-wristing or even just a "normal" grip. The low-powered cartridges coupled with a low-mass frame, do not lend themselves to full-length slide travel.

Although I have certainly carried mouse guns at times over the years, at this point Id trust a .38spl snubby over any auto smaller than a .380.

Did you look at the pics??? The LCP is a half inch longer, and if you count the bottom tang of the grip it’s an inch taller. I’d agree that sometimes that wouldn’t matter, but you’re saying that always that doesn’t matter?

I have small hands and I find a Baby Browning to almost be too small. In the sense that it’s difficult to confidently manipulate the controls. But they are undoubtedly very small and highly concealable.

The Colt/FN Vest pockets are just slightly larger than the Baby Browning and have the controls in what I find a better position.

I tried a Spanish clone of the vest pocket and didn’t care at all for the combination of stiff grip safety, heavy trigger, and small grip. Not at all confidence inspiring. But it was a gorgeous gun, lots of engraving and mother of pearl grips.

My favorite .25 so far is the Beretta Jetfire 950b.

That was my favorite as well! I also had a Model 20 which featured a DA trigger on it. Both were great for just dropping in your pant's pocket when you would go out at night to walk the dog or make a quick run to the convenience store.

I also have a Baby Browning though I won't ever carry it. It's really almost too small and the safety is not exactly the most secure design, for me anyways. I bought it because I have always been: 1) fascinated by miniaturized handguns and how they work (I have had 3 or 4 Beretta Model 950s, a Beretta Model 21A, an FTL .22 Auto Nine, a Sterling Model 302, an Iver Johnson TP22 , and an Astra Cub). 2) I always wanted a Baby Browning 3) It was priced so low (and was in mint condition with the original box and paperwork) I couldn't pass it up!

not steel but it’s what i have in 25acp. the taurus pt25 ply was a deep ccw until i got a keltec p32.

the decent steel 25acp pistols have become expensive and being long out of production i’m hesitant to spend alot on something online that might be unfixable.

also not steel but how is the phoenix hp25a?

The Baby Browning is smaller than the Colt, and significantly smaller than the LCP. Its length is 4.1", height 2.9", and width is .88", an inch smaller in both height and length.

I'm not a fan of .25's, and wouldn't carry one, but it is tiny.

Always remember; 007 carried a Sig 25 Auto. Bond shucked the grips off the SIG and wrapped it in surgical tape to lessen the profile even further, and carried it AIWB, without a holster. Presumably inside his knickers, against his skin.

Because M demanded he carry a pistol with a 'hard hitting' cartridge Bond was forced into dumping his SIG in favor of the PPK chambered in 32 ACP.

Although, on a few jobs Bond carried a S&W M-10, which he thought was huge.

Bond thought the 25 Auto was perfect for his needs, and did use it to good effect in the first few novels.

Turns out, Ian Fleming carried a SIG 25 Auto in his clandestine jobs during WWII. Is it a wonder that Bond did the same?

Sig ???????????????????? I don't think so !!!

I amassed a good collection of .25 acp pistols over the last 60 years . The most unusual was a very well made French MAF made "Le Policeman" , I can't bring my self to sell. It to has a tip up barrel like the Beretta 950 family I started with 60 years ago. The best of that family was the Model 20 and I still carry one as a secondary , infrequently. The tiny Browning baby was not near as reliable as the larger Colt, which I never had a malfunction. My favorite of the Baby Browning was the aluminum frame Liteweight as pictured above . The Bernabelli VP is I believe the smallest .25 that was made , about like the bottom Walther model 9 pictured, the Walthers are little jewels and the smallest .25s that are reasonable reliable , the Bernadelli is a turd IMHO. The Astras are all pretty good .25s IMHO and the the Cub can be very accurate and reliable. I have a Colt one that works well. The other Astra is right down there with the smallest ever .25s and is the Firecat. The Firescat is very small, reliable and the good grip safety and thumbsafety make it reasonable safe for pocket carry.

I have a Beretta 950BS. It is a cool, tiny gun but the NAA Guardian .32 is a hair smaller.

I like .25's.

Fun to shoot and often with far better triggers than modern pocket .32's & .380's.

I carry a Beretta M21a .25 sometimes and load/reload .25 acp.

I have Bauer, Star, and Walther 25's.

The Bauer needs some gunsmithing. The other two work fine.

I seriously doubt that any of them are drop safe.

My P32 is not that much bigger, it's lighter, and it's much safer to carry.

IMHO, I am much safer walking my dog or going to the grocery store unarmed, as compared to carrying an unsafe pistol.

I've never shot at anyone ever, but I've sure dropped a lot of things.

In 25 I have a Colt Vest Pocket from 1940 & a Beretta 950 Jetfire from early 60’s. Both function perfectly with the Colt being a bit harder for me to shoot with the grip safety. I wouldn’t think twice about carrying either one if I needed a pocket gun or BUG.

I have a Beretta 418 that I enjoy and has been nothing but reliable.

This Walther Model 8 is one of my favorites.

I have a .25 TPH that is outstanding!

Remember, Bond "personally" sawed off the front sight and filed the firing pin to a "needle point."

If Ian Fleming did that to his .25 auto, I wonder if he ever actually fired it?
