I tend to not be an early adopter of the greatest and latest with respect to firearms. My last foray netted me a 300 WSM. That seems to be a dead horse these days. At least I have 500 brass and dies. It will last me the rest of my life as a hunting rifle but not much for long range target. Say 5 years down the road and 30 SC Is popular, I will revisit it. For now my 327 fits the need.;)

I've seen a lot of women at the range lately (good thing imo) and it may be a perfect fit for them. If your lady perfers it, that is reason enough
My lady and her shooting friends are running 9mm and happy. I guess if you have a new shooter maybe so. I usually get them comfortable with shooting a .22 and then hand them a 9mm...

I don't have an opinion on the need for a new cartridge or which "niche" it may fill. The only "hole" I have for handgun calibers may be somewhere between 9mm and 45 ACP. But I won't own a gun I cannot reload for, except rimfire, and components and reliable data isn't really available. The 30 Super Carry is too new for a full complement of reloading components/data for me. Some will probably want it, for whatever reason (lighter recoil, added magazine capacity, ballistics, etc.), but for now, I'll pass...

Instead of just the 9mm vs .40 vs .45 debate, we can now add .30 SC? I don’t plan on adding this caliber to the stable until there’s a really really good reason, and I usually don’t need one.

It theoretically falls between .380 and 9mm for that reason I don't think it would get into your proposed debate unless the bar was lowered.

My thoughts too.

I shoot .45ACP, .40SW, and 9mm, in that order.... Less than that, .22 for snakes and cheap plinking.....if there is such a thing as cheap plinking any more......

Women in my family do fine with 9mm and stature-wise are on the small side.......380 and 32?....no interest for me, so far. .30SC? Trying to see the reason for such a thing....Maybe some help there? 0.312" dia. bullets? 7.19mm? I guess it's a longer, skinnier .32. At least it's not a .25. People have posted how .30SC is designed for defense. I always thought 9mm was about the minimum for good outcomes there....if you have good expanding bullets at least.

Oh.....bet you mean the Pedersen Device they stuck in Springfields to allow them to shoot pistol calibers semi-auto? those were interesting.....

I voted no. But if I could find a six shot J frame with a 2 3/8" barrel chambered in 32 H&R mag I would reload for that, my wife needs such a gun.
