Now before you go at me yeah I know what’s going on increased demand and supply chain issue have put them behind. But I’m not really looking for a real answer I am looking for a place to complain and like minded folks to commiserate with me. Not that that is out of the way.

Why is it taking them so long to get guns in stock! I ordered a p365xl with a manual safety through my LGS over 7 weeks ago! That’s almost 2 months! Still not anything! Like I knew it would take a while because the XL is less common and then on top of the the manual safety version basically no one stocks!

But like even the dudes at my LGS are surprised at this point. They also though it would take bit, but they were thinking it would be 2-4 weeks. Like they don’t give any guarantees but they are normally really good at estimating it.

I am really getting tired of waiting. Especially because I live in DC and once they get it I will still need to submit the paperwork to MPD and then begin the waiting game all over again before I can pick it up! At this rate it is a real possibility it could be 2023 before I have my now beautiful pew pew!

thank you for listening to my rant it made me feel much better to get it out!

I would love to get a call saying the SA-35 I put my name in for has arrived before I retire. Six months and zero have made it to that store (They are a high-volume SA dealer, too).

In-demand guns are just that, I guess the biggest fish get first crack at the manufacturer’s production.

Stay safe.

The Plandemic along with shortages in material, parts, and labor have effected most firearm manufacturers ( and all industries).

I've been trying to find a Savage left handed bolt action with their heavy varmint barrel in any caliber besides 308 or 6.5 CM. None of the retailers or distributers have anything in stock.

I was going to say that Sig came out with the 365 macro so maybe they've just been busy making those. But then I decided to look online and see if the P365 XL is available. Guns.deals.com shows that many of the major retailers have the XL in stock. It's not Sig's fault. It's your local shop's fault...

I just checked the inventory of one of my local shops and they have 17 different P365 models in stock right now.

only 2 stores have it at guns deals https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/365xl-9-bxr3-ms-10 most show out of stock. My local shop has 365's in stock too but not the one I want

"Three Years since...an order... was placed". Woah.

A few of the guns I've ordered on Gunbroker arrived within 3-4 Days after I clicked Buy Now or otherwise. Naturally only sellers with at least a hundred A+ receive my business.

I have zero interest in playing (possible) games when having the resolve to buy anything.

As the seasoned ship officer Sigorney Weaver told the Marines in the movie Aliens " I say we takeoff and nuke the entire site from orbit", ----:scrutiny: in whichever Gun Context  ---- works best for you Ladies and Gentlemen.

Are you sure the problem lies with Sig? Last I heard, the only FFL in DC closed their doors a couple years ago and DC police were handling FFL duties, which means whoever you're dealing with is new at it. Maybe they're low on the priority list with their wholesaler.

Nope, not gonna bite. Venting is fine, but, only after you've done your research and figured out what's going on with your regional market.

Or have you considered in just might be your LGS?

In any event, it's not just SIG. It's every manufacturer out there. Inventory is hit or miss everywhere depending on the reliability of distributors or the savvy of the retailers.

I've been waiting a while on a couple Colt's, my SA-35 and a couple Winchester rifles. But not gonna complain publicly -- it's not as though I really need these guns....

Yes I am sure. And no DC police is not handling transfers themselves anymore. And yes there are 2 FFLs in DC.

Also while this may seem weird to literally anyone that lives somewhere that is not DC if you are a resident of DC you don’t go to a DC FFL even when buying a handgun you go to an FFL in another state (generally Maryland or Virginia but doesn't have to be) and buy the gun. Only thing you do at the DC FFL is paperwork you don’t actually buy the gun there.

And yes I am sure it’s not a problem with the FFL they have a very good relationship with Sig and do a lot of volume….

Also I am almost certain I started this post with saying I just wanted to complain and likeminded folks to commiserate with, not looking for an actual solution.

Because you ordered it through your LGS. Took me 15 seconds to locate the gun you wanted at three sources aside from Buds listed above. You gave local a chance and they failed. Use them as a transfer and be done with it.

Most LGS have an online supply base they use and if they don't have it then that is as far as they go. I like to support my lgs but if they cannot get it I just go elsewhere and pay the 25 buck transfer fee...

You have made a fine choice in a handgun, and you will enjoy it. I don't know what the hold up is, as my local dealer was selling p365XL MS tac packs for $600 within the last 3 months.

Maybe this is nature's way of giving you time to find and acquire a Romeo or other red dot sight to slap on the pistol when it arrives. Also, good time to be working on a holster.

The real question is, if the gun store has ordered directly from SIG Sauer or from one of their distributors. By the way, SIG is long defunct.
