20220925_153659.jpg 20220925_153624.jpg Hello... I dialed in my Magpul Pro BUIS and had to adjust the windage waaaay left to zero. Is that an issue? Never had to adjust the windage that far to zero.

What type of front sight are you using? Is it a standard fixed front sight or one that mounts to a handguard?

Usually if you have to have the rear sight to one side or the other, then the fixed front sight is canted (if equipped). If you are using a front sight that mounts to the handguard then there is a good chance that the handguard is not installed true to the upper receiver rail.

To answer your question, as long as you can zero it and then verify that it is on target at 300 meters/yards, then there is nothing to worry about.

Is the front sight on the barrel or handguard? Might indicate a canted from sight if it's on the barrel or an canted or crooked handguard if the front sight is on that. Far less likely but still possible would be an upper that the barrel is not seated squarely in.

The upper is a brand new Aero Precision upper. Should I send it back? 20220914_171443.jpg

See if you can loosen the handguard up and move it to get it and the upper receiver rail perfectly aligned.

But as I stated before, having the rear sight to one side will not hurt anything as long as it is still on target at further distances.

Yep, the handguard is canted. I can see it. Anyone know how to adjust this?

Will depend on who installed it. If you are the intstaller, then you are the "fixer."

Easy answer is to move the rear BUIS to the handguard. Makes for a long sight radius, but you are "aligning" one to itself, rather than another point of reference.
