When I am Lord of the Universe, which
will occur on March 12, 2023, I shall
create a new ammo company.

This company will be catering to the
buyers of the most common handgun
calibers and not bother with production
aimed at pleasing the whims of a
minority number of shooters.

By paring down production of so many
calibers, my company will offer the
highest quality ammo at the lowest
costs ever seen in ammo.

Note, .22 LR is technically a rifle cartridge
but one item will be offered, the .22 grain
RNL.

Name of the company:
Supreme Handgun Ammunition

So, now, the calibers:

REVOLVER

.38 Special in 158 grains RNL, SWCL
and SWCLHP.

.357 Magnum in 125 grain SJHP and
158 grain SJSP.

.44 Magnum in 200 grain SJHP and
240 grain SJSP.

AUTO PISTOLS

.380 in 90 grain FMJ

9mm in 115 grain JHP +p and 124 grain
FMJ +P.

.45 ACP in 200 grain JHP and 230 grain
in FMJ.

I gladly leave all the superfluous
calibers and configurations to the
other ammo makers who will continue
to offer little needed nor really wanted
super expensive ammo.

THIS IS NO JOKE. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Omit .380, add .40, and you have.my biz.

Why bother with revolvers at all? The 7 remaining revolver shooters left in the US, will likely croak before you get your presses set up. Make 5.56 instead.

5.56 and .45 are the most needed calibers right now.

Start there. 9mm is already being produced in massive quantities by dozens of companies.

I suspect you're going to have a hard time managing an ammo company until you get it figured out that several of the cartridges on your list are the same "caliber." :neener:
But maybe not. I don't really care anyway - I've always built my own "calibers" for my .41 Magnum. ;)

Another producer of handgun ammunition is okay by me. Good luck to you sir.

I only use a few handgun calibers. My self defense calibers are .45 ACP and .38 Special.
.45 ACP: I have a small hoard of factory Federal 230 grain Hydra shock ammunition; I have enough to last the rest of my uncertain life. Chronograph testing shows it from my pistol the same speed (with manufacturing error) as standard G. I. hardball. So I load an equivalent round for practice. I'm getting lazy and will buy FMJ ammo for reasonably cheap prices to eliminate the boring work of cranking the handle.

.38 Special: I prefer the old "FBI load" of a 158 grain LWC at +p levels. Lately I cannot find any on the market in reality. All things considered I would buy the .38 Special "FBI" load.

I collect for and shoot for evaluation the little hand guns of .25 and .32 ACP designed (if not made specifically) prior to the Second World War. However, I do not use these arms for defense and the PPU ammo is rather uniform and heretofore inexpensive.

I do use a couple other rounds that off the beaten path likely not big sellers. I rather enjoy the .44 Special round and the .45 AutoRim round (both loaded to my specification) for 'special occasions". I doubt if much market would exist for them.

I do not use 9mm Parabellum - by any name - ammunition at all. But many folks do.

I think your basic idea reasonable. Again, good luck to you.
