I was perusing the consignment gun page a couple of weeks ago and stumbled upon a clean CZ 75BD that was listed for $600.

I talked the shop down a bit and got it down to $625 otd.

If, and thats a big if, it has had close to a box rounds through it I will be shocked. Zero wear on the outsides, a hint of bluing fading on the barrel, almost no residue anywhere on the insides. It looked like this when I brought it home.

About 45 minutes after getting it home a CGW spring/firing pin kit dropped right in, now it is good to go.

This is CZ #5, with a 75 P01 on the docket for a pick up in a couple of weeks. Now if I could just find a RAMI 9mm for less than a truck payment, my CZ mission will be complete. :)

Maybe. ;)

Stay safe.

You need a shadow 2 in your life.

Was never impressed with the rami, it's really not much different in size compared to the PCR and certainly doesn't weigh much less either.

I've got about 12 CZ 75 compacts of various models, a rami won't be in my collection.

Just got a P01 with a NSN number on the frame, it had a CGW pro package waiting for it.

You did good. I went shopping for a new CZ P-01 Omega and it was quite the search. $805.00 OTD was the best I could find and it was special order, they just aren't laying around in show cases. I think the full size CZ 75's and their Compacts are the best out there in the 9MM field. It's possible I'm prejudiced IMG_3453.JPG IMG_0954.JPG .

The Shadow 2 in Urban Grey is proudly a resident in the safe. It is an outstanding gun, for sure. ;)

Never had a RAMI, looking forward to trying one out alongside the Compact and P-01 :).

Stay safe.

Have you tried the P07/09 pistols?

The 97 and shadow 2 have pretty much ruined my other guns.
No, I have kinda stayed away from most other poly guns. Since I have a stable of 9mm Glocks I was returning to my earlier roots of all metal pistols.

The CZ 75 series is one I have always read great stuff about, but I didn’t find out for myself how nice they were until just under two years ago. (And yes, the 97 is a great DA-SA .45! Too bad it has been discontinued.) :(

Stay safe.

I'm definitely a fan of the CZ 75B family.

I've had a CZ 75B for just over 20 years. In the first couple years I put 10K rounds through it and stopped counting. I'd guess I'm around 20K but could be higher. Terrific gun: reliable, accurate, easy to shoot

I had a CZ 40B for about a year. It was a .40S&W version made for Colt, when Colt backed out, CZ put it out for a few years (maybe just until they were out of stock, not sure). It was a 75B with a slightly shorter barrel and a 1911 grip angle. I should never have sold it (I didn't like .40S&W yet when I had it).

For 4 or 5 years I've had a CZ P01. Great gun, but I didn't like it. I had wanted a PCR since they came out, but I never had the money at the same time a gun was available (for a while they weren't MD legal, there were a few years they stopped production, and then they were intermittently scarce and when I had the money they weren't around, when they were around I didn't have the money). I always saw P01s around, and eventually bought it instead of the PCR. Once I got the PCR, I then loved the P01 as well.

I've had both a steel CZ 75B Compact and a CZ PCR (75 D Compact) for about 3 years.

All my 75B based guns are accurate and reliable. They fit my hand like nothing else. I often trust my life with the P01 and PCR, they are one of my carry guns when I can carry, and I sometimes load up the 75B and the P01 as my home defense gun. All are among my favorite guns.
