Do You Resize New Brass?

I suggest you do. I made a couple of dummy loads with some new brass without resizing it and I could push the bullet into the case with modest thumb pressure against the edge of my loading bench. That convinced me to resize any and all brass, new or used. ymmv

I checked chamber fit & neck tension on my Starline 357 brass. Was good to go, after expand& bell. . From Starline website. 20221110_093831.jpg

I feel there is better brass available, when compared to my older brass. Less variation in neck tension. The seat pressure difference can be felt.

I gave up on finding 357 Magnum range brass and just ordered some Starline. Should I resize it before loading?
I do. I also tumble new brass. Except for the decapping, I treat all brass the same. New brass I’ll spot check length just to see what it is before separating it into batches. I don’t buy new very often, though. Last new brass I bought was .32S&W from Starline. It was consistent and right around median length.

The last batch of 357 magnum brass I prepped last week got the full treatment. Sized, trimmed, chamfered, belled, etc. I only cleaned them with solvent and a paper towel.

I suppose I should treat these the same. I do like to chamfer since I’m shooting mostly cast bullets.

My last new brass. I did resize. But didn't check if they needed trimming. After i shot them. And resized. They were longer than brass i had trimmed before shooting. They functioned well at least.
I realize the OP is asking specifically about Starline .357 brass but one of the reasons for my routine is that I used to buy Remington and Winchester brass for rifles and it would be all over the place for length and most dimensions.

I was given a bad a new winchester 308 one time. it looked a lot like jmorris' bag and for sure needed sizing and trimming.

for 357, I don't load those single stage, so it's no big deal to run them through the sizing die. if you want to go nuts, I have a lee 357 trim gauge you can have for the dollar it would cost me to ship. I bought it, tried several pieces of my MANY times fired brass and discovered it wasn't cutting. my brass just was't growing. shoulda done calipers before buying......
