How do you think the Cold Steel AD15 in AUS10A would stack up against it?

I have Civivi knives. Clips bend easy. Replaced the clip on one with an aftermarket. Otherwise I do like my two Elementums.

AUS10A vs. NitroV? Completely different mechanism for lock?

I have the CS and I don't like the lock. I have button lock folders, including Civivi, and they're far easier to use.

AUS 10A is comparable to 440C. Nitro V has better toughness and slightly better stain resistance and takes a very fine edge.

In a practical sense I'm not sure the steels are going to see much difference in use.

The lock OTOH...

The lock definitely takes some getting used to, tried a friend's, little awkward at first. His is in S35VN, which adds about $100 to the price.

He also took a dremel to the scales and smoothed them out. I like the knife, just haven't decided on which one to get.

That Civivi looks nice, be waiting to hear how it does.

I assume it will be as handy as all the other button lock Civivis I've gotten. The steel will be an improvement over D2.

On mine, the black one above is a button knife. Button to open, and button to close. It has no flipper or enemies an indentation on the blade to open it. You can push and let gravity do it’s work, same to close. Or pull it open or closed. Looks to be a good one HSO. Let us know when it arrives.

In toughness and corrosion resistance yes. But edge holding is not stellar with Nitro V.

I've been playing with the Conspirator all day and I'm impressed.

I also found out it was a Knife Center "Top Ten" for '22. I can see why.

The pivot is so smooth you are happy the button lock helps keep your fingers out of the way since the blade will fall closed when unlocked.

It is a good size with good ergonomics.

I'd like to see it in G-10, but I have no complaints with the micarta.

I really like the look of that. I just don't NEED another knife.

But since when did need really matter?
I'll probably talk myself into it.
