Yep, found another grail gun!
Wanted one of these for a long time, but they're spendy, and I always talked myself out of it. Until now. This one is a standard two tone Mk I .45 win mag in excellent condition, but it also came with a 10mm Auto conversion kit. The Grizzly, of course, can handle longer cartridges, so I'll be reaming the 10mm barrel to 10mm Magnum shortly! I bought 1,000 Starline 10mm mag cases some time ago when I was building my 10mm Magnum AR, but always wanted a pistol so chambered, and the AMT Automag IV in that caliber is extremely rare. So this was the perfect deal, a gun I've wanted for a long time that will be able to use both of the cartridges I wanted it to!
Only issue now is I've gotta build a one-off can with a bigger blast chamber for it. My Phoenix TLX .45 suppressor held up fine, but the booster spring not so much. The massive exist pressure of the .45 win mag squashed it in a single magazine. So it's gonna need a much bigger blast chamber to attenuate that pressure! We usually build pistol cans with small chambers to minimize first round pop with subsinic ammo, but this very much supersonic round is gonna have a sonic crack louder than the FRP anyway, so no benefit to a small chamber.
