I have a spreadsheet that lists all my firearms, SN#'s, caliber, accessories and the price I would expect if I sold it. I do this for insurance purposes, to keep track of what I have and, if something would happen to me, my family would have something that would help if they decided to sell.
This is my 1974 Nickle Model 36. The price listed on my spreadsheet, which i updated this past April, is $600,

@Jeff olson - so Jeff, did you pull the trigger on that purchase?

Yeah, I'd happily fork over 6 bills for a sweet 36 in that condition. Or the one in the OP's pics.

My only nickle S&W (actually looks far better in person -- nickle is so dadgummed difficult to get good pics of in artificial light).:

So happy that I didn’t read a post that said:
“Well, it’s too late. Someone else got it.”

I would love to find a nice J frame square butt in that nice condition. I think if I came across that gun I would have been hesitant but bought it.

Please, more pictures when you get it home. :)

I just sold one on GB for more than that. I also routinely figure blued 36s as worth about 550 in nice shape. So I’d say you did well. It looks gorgeous.
