So I just applied for my Maryland WCHP (wear and carry handgun permit) I live in Washington D.C and this will make life easier as they don’t have reciprocity with each other.

It says it can take up to 90days to hear back. If there are any here who have gotten their MD WCHP in recent history how long did it actually take to hear back?

So a month and a week about. That's good to hear because when DC says they have 90 days they mean they have 90 days XD

It didn't used to be like that but a ton of people retired during covid and they have been understaffed since.

I had planned to just edit the previous message instead of posting again but I guess I can’t (because it’s so old?) :uhoh:

What ever hurdles they present to you be diligent and dot your I's and cross your T's. NJ made it hard to frustrate people from following through or even start the process. My wife and I both kept at it through all the midstream changes etc. We are both now CCW holders in NJ. Hang in there be diligent you will get there.

Yeah I have a friend going through the NJ process right now doesn't seem pleasant.

I currently have DC and Utah so once Maryland clears I will be good for my DC to Delaware drive I make semi regularly.
