I just put Hogue rubber grips on my new to me 3 screw BlackHawk. I already had them on my new model stainless. It's rather ugly compared to wooden grips but the rubber works soooo good. I am all for something that helps me shoot better and rubber grips do. I just won't take any pictures of them in their ugly state.

Nothing wrong with that. I have a couple of pretty guns, and some that are strictly business. For those where function and performance is what's desired, I say whatever works best for the shooter.

1. What ever floats your boat. Do as you please with your guns.
2. Do you want to be cool or good?
3. Someday when you’re shooting with friends and / or relatives and they are complaining that they can no longer handle recoil and you think to yourself “I don’t have this problem.” you can look back and say “Those ugly rubber grips might have extended my shooting longevity.”

It's a tool, if you can change it to make it more comfortable to use, then have at it. I put Pachmyr rubber on my 1973 Ruger Blackhawk 41 Mag to make it more comfortable to shoot and I changed out the hand guard on my old model 357 Blackhawk to a Super Blackhawk hand guard so I could put a wider trigger on it since the original narrow one hurts my finger with extended range time. Those changes and yours can easily be undone if you decide to take it back to it's original condition.
