Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Shanghai McCoy
I prefer 20 round magazines.
(It is annoyingly "funny" that there are always sales on the 30 rounders of various brands but seldom the 20"s

I do too!

Have nothing against the 30 rounders just that with the 20 round mags (I also have a bunch of them, mostly older Colt ones), I tend to take more time between shots without feeling the need to burn through a whole 30 round mag down range!

My latest gun is a NIB, Blued, Rem 700 ADL Synthetic, .223 that was at a discount mall in Waterville, Maine a year or so ago. It was one of the last rifles in store stock that was purchased by Marden's Discount stores. I have other 700s in .223, but can't pass up a bargain, especially when it's NIB for under $200. She shoots very well and has already taken a couple of critters. Everyone should have a "loaner" rifle that we're not afraid to get scratched (or worse). If this one got "run over" by a truck, I wouldn't cry much.

Took my newly adult kid to the range yesterday. Told him to find ear and eye pro. He couldn't find two pairs of muffs, despite there being many sets throughout the house. Wife tells me to just go to Sportsman's Warehouse on the way out of town. (Fortunately there is one on the way now.) I need five bucks to pay to get the kid on to the range. (I'm free, I'm military.) So I ask the lady at the counter for $5 cash back, they don't do that. There's a convenience store next door, so I go in to get a couple of bottles of water, and $5 cash back. I get to the range, go to check in, and.....it's six bucks now. And they take debit cards.

How was your Saturday? :)

Got 8 lbs. of IMR-4198 dropped off by UPS a couple days ago. Haven't seen it locally in a few years and came across some I could order online. The CVA Scout in 444 Marlin I recently got now has two favorite handloads which both use that powder and I only had less than a pound here. My buddies Marlin lever gun in 444 thrives on it also. It was a bit expensive after the shipping & hazmat costs but it's nice to know I won't be searching for more anytime soon. IMG_5125.JPG ..

Today ordered 250 rounds of .308 ammo for the reserve.

Ammo costs (retail) won’t be coming down,
and my main rifles are clones or actual Battle Rifles produced for the Cold War or Gang Wars (ie Brazil: Imbel FAL).
