My G23 Gen4 suffered from the Streamlight TLR-1 reliability issue. I sold that thing over a decade ago, don’t miss it, or the .40 S&W cartridge, in the slightest.
The early Gen4 Glock 22 that I bought used was the only bad “G” that I ever had and the only “G” that I traded off. I replaced it with a new Gen4 21 and never looked back, IMHO a superior Gun.
I had a police turn in. Got it from GT Distributors in Texas when I was there. Gen 3 and was issued to Missouri State Park Rangers. Was like brand new. Shot several thousand rounds through it. No issues. Had it for over 10 years. Regret selling it.
I got my Gen 2 G22 for $300 when a guy got in trouble and had to sell.
It just never did it for me in accuracy and didn't feel as good as my G19, G30 or G34. It has been semi-retired until I get a .22lr upper for it to become a dedicated trainer

Missouri Park Rangers are part of the Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources and they do not see much range time let alone much need to actually use or shoot a firearm while on duty.
