Looking to purchase a 350 Legend for a state that restricts rifle cartridges to strait wall and also requires them to be single shot or have a single shot adapter.

The Ruger American Predator looks attractive. It takes AR mags so a single shot adaptor is readily available. And I like the 22" barrel since it will be quieter and suppressors are not permitted.

My preference is walnut stocks though so wanted to see if there were other options along the lines of traditional wood and blued steel of which maybe I'm not aware?

Unfortunately, the nice singles like Ruger #1 and Browning 1885 don't come in .350 legend yet as far as I know. The XPR might be an option if you can get a single shot adapter for it. Savage made some Axis II and Xp in wood, pretty sure they did them in .350 legend

Henry and CVA are your choices for single shots, Ruger Ranch 16"/ Predator 22" and use a magazine block of some kind would be in the same price range plus if you go elsewhere to hunt you could use the 5 or 10 round mags

I have a Winchester XPR in .350 Legend and it shoots really well. I do not know if there is a block for conversion to single shot, however. The .350 Legend is a very effective deer round, we have been using them in Iowa for the last 3 years now.
