A California DOJ guy just responded to an email I sent and said that the Walther P22-CA is California Legal (as opposed to the regular P22). I ran a search and couldn't find anything on the web, nor on the Walther webpage. Does anyone know anything about this?

yup, they're legal again. They showed up in ad today un here in Norcal. Local store wants 249.99 for the 3.4 inch barrel version. they don't list another version.

Hmm, I guess that means I won't be able to put a soda bottle on the end of it: :D

Pipsqueak does that really work? I have a Suppressor for my P22 and really like it. I am curious to hear if the 24 oz. bottle thing really works?

Mac Attack- I wouldn't know. The pic is lifted from a German company's site. Despite the rest of their gun laws, you can't fault them for their suppressor laws. I would imagine it would be much less effective than a commercial design and have durability issues. I remember seeing the thread adaptor for sale on ebay last year. I heard a rumor that the BATF made some angry noises and the seller pulled them from the market.

no_morelipfrom_you- Yes, any semi-auto pistol + threaded barrel = "assault weapon".
