23, single, male. BS in chemistry. Currently a chemist for a small pharma company. By most peoples standards I'm well paid (by my own I'm being exploited
). My current plan is to go back to school in '06 for an MBA.
I don't buy many guns any more, I have pretty much all I need. After leaving CA I'd like to add 3 guns to my collection, an AR, a precision rifle (600+ yards), and a hunting rifle (in something like 7-08 or 6.5x55).
I enjoy guns (ipsc and highpower), motorcycles (my gs500), and books. I reload to save money.
I just finished pay off the unsecured debt I accumulated during 11 months between jobs. Now I have still have a negative net worth because of my student loans, but its only about 6 weeks worth of my current net income after taxes. My other regular expenses include cell, brazillian jiu jitsu, and rent (~250 a month).
I'd like to buy a nice used car for ~13k. Owning a car would let me bring rifles to the range and just generally be nice. The downside to owning a car, it would by far be the largest expense in my life. Insurance, gas maintenance, the time value of the money spent on the car, all are huge by my admittedly cheap standards.
My goal I guess is to hold out for 6 months w/o buying a car, then I'll have saved up enough money to buy it debt free.
