Maybe under the roundtable forum we should have a "techs forum" seeing as almost everyone here who isnt LEO is in the field. I am sure the knowlege pool of technological recources is near as great as the Gun info.

More clients = More Guns

36, married for 5+ years with a just-turned-four-on-Saturday son. I work communications for a well-known Northwest regional airline, so no unlimited funds for me. I manage to buy the occasional box of ammo, though.

49 years old
Married 29 years, and still don't have a clue what makes women tick.
Two kids, one of each.
Two grandkids, one of each.
I raise cattle and have a day job with the USDA to support THAT habit.

I've been around guns my whole life but didn't buy more that the bare minimum until the kids were sorta grown. It's amazing how often you have to feed them little things.

As for guns now, not as many as I want (according to me) but more than I need (according to my wife).
A recent C & R license will help with the cost, or so I told my wife.

23 y/o male. College student at Indiana U. of PA majoring in Exercise Science and I'm also in the PA Army National Guard (13B "gun bunny").

That is all.

ETA: GO STEELERS!!

20 years old, male, no wife/gf (too much money :D ). Currently full time delivery driver for Jason's Deli and part time lifeguard at Wichita State University. As a driver I get anything from $0 to $250 a week in tips. (remember to tip us, people, especially when its cold out...) Was part time college student but I'm planning to enilst later in the spring, so class is kinda out the window. I personally own two firearms and have instant, officialized access to two more. Life could be better but you've gotta hang in there.

37 y/o white, conservative, gun-toting, jesus freak with 3-soon to be 4 thanks to a personal AD-great kids, married with a great job-generally very blessed.

I just added a Beretta 92FS Brigadier to my collection last week...if I didn't live in the land of freak parades and escalades (CA) I wouldn't have to wait another month before adding to the collection...

23, single, male. BS in chemistry. Currently a chemist for a small pharma company. By most peoples standards I'm well paid (by my own I'm being exploited :) ). My current plan is to go back to school in '06 for an MBA.

I don't buy many guns any more, I have pretty much all I need. After leaving CA I'd like to add 3 guns to my collection, an AR, a precision rifle (600+ yards), and a hunting rifle (in something like 7-08 or 6.5x55).

I enjoy guns (ipsc and highpower), motorcycles (my gs500), and books. I reload to save money.

I just finished pay off the unsecured debt I accumulated during 11 months between jobs. Now I have still have a negative net worth because of my student loans, but its only about 6 weeks worth of my current net income after taxes. My other regular expenses include cell, brazillian jiu jitsu, and rent (~250 a month).

I'd like to buy a nice used car for ~13k. Owning a car would let me bring rifles to the range and just generally be nice. The downside to owning a car, it would by far be the largest expense in my life. Insurance, gas maintenance, the time value of the money spent on the car, all are huge by my admittedly cheap standards.

My goal I guess is to hold out for 6 months w/o buying a car, then I'll have saved up enough money to buy it debt free.

I'm a dirty capitalist.

I started buying guns (a new bolt-action and new auto pistol) at the age of 21 or 22, just back from a six-month tour in Bosnia as a Private First Class. No bills, no family, and I had a few thousand in the bank. After my discharge, I moved in with my folks and worked at a factory. Still no bills, but I only bought a stock 10/22, and traded my Steyr rifle for two inexpensive long guns. When I moved to the big city to go to school, I bought a used revolver to keep in the front room of my little apartment. I sold the auto pistol to pay for some health insurance, leaving me with three long guns and the revolver. Friend of mine gave me an SKS a bit ago, so I'm up to five guns. Since I'll have to pay for my honeymoon this summer, I've got no plans to buy more guns just now. Oh, I'm working full-time as a maintenance man and I'm 28.

theHULK9281, You go to I.U.P!! I grew up in Indiana and go back there every chance I get. Maybe we can meet up and shoot sometime when I'm in town.

I'm 51. Married (happily this time!). 2 kids, 4 grandkids. Work in Help Desk Support. Wife does not shoot but is extremely supportive. These days I shoot mainly my handguns, but still enjoy shooting the milsurp rifles.

SWM, 42, two cats ,no kids. Work as a phone rep. (yes, the guy everyone yells at... :cuss: ) . Not rich at all ,but I've collected some over time. I reload my own ammunition, and if I'm not not feeling too lazy, I cast my own bullets. My hobbies are reading, (I used to write ghost stories as well... ). I fiddle with my computers and go shooting whenever I can. I really like Ruger guns, especially my new Sp101. And hey, I still have all my hair and most of my teeth :neener: .

Cool, I would be up for that. I'm in my senior year at school (graduate next fall), but if you come up anytime before then, I'd like to go shooting. Let me know.

No kids, no wife......no baggage! (yet)
Professional stock trader for 8 years and counting.....I also work part time (for pleasure) in the suburbs at a somewhat large gunshop.

I am interested in and collect the following....R/C Helicopters, Italian cars, a very wide variety of firearms that I rarely get to shoot, Moutain bikes / Road bicycles, snowmobiling and extreamly rare aquarium fish. I *hate* football and enjoy most types of car racing, as well try to attend as many F1 races as possible.

I don't drink, I've never smoked pot *ever*, I'm a liberitarian, I am a capitalist, I like to see people succeed, I hate the blue state I'm in and I can generally be found cursing the gov. of my state as well as the mayor of chicago. I want to move to a real state like Florida or Texas when possible as well.

All of that aside,

If you have an actractive daughter (preferrably redheaded) between the ages of 19-28, under 130lbs and around 5'6 or under, I would gladly private message you my number. ;)

im 20, work a dead end job at Shell, I go to a Penn State branch campus, I have a girlfriend, but im not married, live with my immediate family still.. tried an apartment with some friends for a few months, but im broke, and rather spend my money on guns, ammo, and optics then rent.

It is interesting to read about forum members. I sort of wish we were a more diverse group (more minorities and women) because it would be better for defending the 2nd Amendment and promoting the shooting sports but maybe this situation will improve with time.

I hesitate to reveal personal info on the Internet, but I will admit to being 49 going on 73 (should have taken better care of myself when I was younger). The same wonderful woman has put up with me for 21 years (my one major blessing in life). I work as a lowly public servant so I am grossly underpaid (really, I am) but we are a two income house and we don't have kids so we live modestly and always show a surplus at the end of the year.

I do have a lot of guns. But I don't smoke, drink, or gamble so I think I am allowed one vice. I just tell my wife that they go up in value over time and she can sell them when I'm dead. She likes that idea.

43 year old married guy (16 years, same wonderful girl & fellow shooter!). Navy Chief with 22 years in, fixing to retire middle of 06. No kids and thats fine. Drive a Dakota quad , wife a Subaru Outback Sport.

...Johnnie-come-lately to this thread, I guess. I generally read (and learn) lots more than I post anyway.

I'm 50 yrs old, married to the same wonderful girl for nearly 26 yrs (she's not only an avid shooter, hunter, and fisherwoman - she's bought me a firearm every Christmas for the last 10 yrs). I have 3 adult sons (all shooters/ hunters, of course), a pretty cool daughter-in-law (non-shooter and vegetarian 'til we took her into the clan, now a barbeque addict and shooter), and a 3 yr old grandson (don't get me started about this guy, best puppy I ever had. points, barks, attacks on command, never chases cars or humps legs). I was a State of GA child protective services investigator for 16 yrs until an injury relegated me to office-based social work. Southerner by the grace of God.

I turn 39 this month and am medically retired from military service. Currently enjoying my retirement by being a housewife :) . My husband is currently stationed overseas.
