GnR,

Yes I know the employee at LAX of which you speak and indeed he is not very gifted in terms of social graces. I pretty much just ignore his attitude.
The only time I go there is when I want to rent some different guns as they have a pretty decent selection. Otherwise I go to Angeles Crest which is outdoors.

cheers, js

Torpid, I'm pretty sure that may have been a typo on my part.... :D

Joe, I prefer Angeles as well. I find myself at LAX as it's a 10 minute drive. As I said, I'm starting the think the time saved is costing me heartburn.

went to LAX once....last indoor range for me...oaktree gun club is a 33 min drive...worth every mile..when i go there early I sometime have the range to myself for an hour

the folks at oaktree are all pros

worth every mile

If it were me behind that counter, until otherwise indicated, every new customer that walks in must be treated like they have never touched a firearm but have obviously taken interest with an eagerness to learn, and have $10,000 in their pocket.

Excellent post, and a good point.

another vote for Sharpshooters in Torrance

and there is another one in Torrance too, I forget the name. I moved out of the area about five years ago, and Altzheimer's is setting in... maybe Target Masters?
Good luck.

Gents,

I have heard nothing but complaints about LAX of late. The truth be told it's been great for business.

Mention THR and I'll hook you up with half price range fees. I'm in the shop Tues - Thurs, and on Saturday.

A shameless plug:

Class Discounts with a Training Pass

During our first phenomenal year of operation many of our students elected to repeat courses both in part and in their entirety. To help keep the cost of training as economically friendly as possible we have introduced the West Coast Tactical Training Pass. The pass is good for six separate training days or three complete courses.

Many of our students have pooled their money to purchase a single pass. One pass can be used for three people to attend one course or for one person to attend three courses. The pass can also be used to attend partial courses. For example, if you have attended a level one course, but feel your skills are not ready for level two, you may use the pass to attend the second day of a level one course to further build your level of skill before moving forward. Many of our students in the past year have done just that.

The Training Pass is currently priced at $400.00 and has no expiration date. You may use the training pass to attend any of our classes and courses. The training pass is also inflation proof. As course prices increase the pass will still be honored as payment in full.
