I paid a little over $1000 for this back in '01. With the sunset of the AWB I am curious what this thing is worth now. Is there still a demand out there for these or am I going to have to take a big loss on it when I go to sell? I know it is worth less but I guess I am hoping it is still worth a little more than the post ban stuff. Thanks.

Jon

There are a few states that have their own AWB, in those states a pre ban is worth a little extra, but for most of the US it's now no-ban and nothing special.

Except for the few states that have state bans AND allow pre-94 weapons to be brought into the state, it is just a used rifle in most of the U.S.

I am wanting to sell it to get funds to buy an Omega watch. Thanks for the info guys.

Ok, I accept that I am going to have to take a bath when I sell it. What is a fair price range I should expect to get for it.

Olympic Arms AR-15, Model M.F.R., 15" barrel(16" with the threaded flash hider), A2 sights, telescoping butt-stock, bayonette lug. Included are 5, 30 round magazines and a soft sided carry case. Fired appx 500-1000 rounds and otherwise sits in the safe.

Thanks for the info guys.

Olympic current manufacturer suggested retail for a rifle in that configuration, brand new, is something like $768.00

Nothing Molonlabe... People still buy Rugers, S&Ws, Colts, etc. after thier flubups. Oly is no different. And worth somewhat less than that $768 quoted - depends on what you can get! Some will want it worse than others - I'd start with an asking price of around $700 even and work down. Depends on you and the time and effort you're willing to put into finding the best price.
