Hey everyone,

I just picked up my 12bvss in 22-250, what a blast. This thing is crazy accurate at 200 yards (haven't had the chance to really stretch it out yet.) Now I'm looking for a range finder and I think I'm looking at a Leica 1200. I've done a few searchs and before I buy I thought I'd ask you all. Any help would be great in terms of least expensive price. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Hey Rob-- if u're interested in going long-range with it-- take a good look at the JLK 60 gr. LD. That bullet has a BC of .339-- which is about as high as it gets for a 12 twist barrel.

I've also been shopping for such a thing.

I hate to say it, but try Ebay.

Snipershide.com also has such things for sale some times.

You would be better off finding something other than a Leica...we used to sell em....they just werent up to snuff....

Leica is overpriced, all of their products......

You know what, I was agonizing over that purty 1200 rangefinder.

Did you know that Swarovski makes a 1500 yard model for a few hundred dollars more?

(This stuff is really expensive right now, owing in part to the strong Euro currency).

Bass Pro Shops (of all places) stocks the Swarovski. They have (or recently had) a 6-months same as cash purchase plan!

Anyhoo, I ended getting a no-frills Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout on sale for a few hundred bucks. It's theoretical max range is 700 yards (more than I'll need for hunting). It starts at 10 yards, which is great for bowhunters, with +- 1 yard accuracy.

I'm saving up for a Geovid for the long-distance shooting stuff. Have to eat this month. :D

Froogle it - you'll get various prices. I just sold a new one I'd gotten as a gift for $350 on Gunbroker. It'd never been out of it's box.
