M1 Carbine sightings in Southern California?

I give up. What does that mean in English?

You might want to check out the Armoury of Orange in...you guessed it..the City of Orange. That's where I got mine years ago. On Tustin, north of the 22 Freeway. It's in the same mini-mall area as Fowlers. Better hurry, though. They're closing at the end of May.

Hey Skunk, if you don't find a M1, you should seriously take a look at the Kel Tec SU16CA. I just got mine. With the 16inch barrel it's really really compact. I'm taking it out for the first time this weekend. It's pretty solid even with all that plastic.

You are a couple of months too late skunk. I sold mine for $400 to a guy in Tehachapi. And yes, I do have one I am keeping too. :neener: Good luck.

Too bad we didn't have the Great Western Shows anymore. :banghead:

I've been keeping my eye out for some time for a USGI M1 Carbine, but have yet to see one in a gun store out here in Orange County. You might try Flag Guns in La Habra, they usually have an eclectic inventory. If all else fails probably your best bet would just to get one off Gunbroker, Auctionarms, or Gunsamerica and have a place like Ade's Gun Shop do the FFL transfer, that is probably the route I will take when I get around to getting an M1 Carbine.

Try "Bullseye Sporting Goods" in Long Beach. It used to be the best place to get M-1 carbines in So. Cal.

i've also seen one for sale at iron sights in san diego. i was last out there maybe 3 weeks ago. couldn't tell you the manufacturer though.

Empire Arms posted a bunch on their members mailing list a few months ago. About a dozen or so. Sold out in a couple hours.

Fill out the Empire Arms want list form and they can probably find it for you.

J&G Sales also comes across some every now and then.

My very first rifle came from Fowler's.... Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk1.

I almost bought it from the Armory of Orange.

Considering it's in CA I'm surprised the Armory lasted this long.
