Was out for dinner tonight when I caught this scrolling across a tv....

Teen Shoots Dad To Death

(AP) A 15-year-old boy in Pennsylvania is being described as a hero for shooting to death his father.

The man had just shot his wife, the boy's mother, and was preparing to shoot her again, when his son shot and killed him.

The mother also died of her injuries.

Police in Sellersville, near Philadelphia, say the man had recently left a mental health facility.

They say the 15-year-old and a teen-aged brother were awakened Saturday by the sound of their parents arguing. The police chief says the boys saw their father with a knife to the throat of their mother, and that's when they grabbed empty shotguns and confronted the father. He grabbed one of the guns, loaded it, and used it to kill their mother.

The 15-year-old had loaded his shotgun, and used it to kill his father. The boy then ran to a neighbor's house, in tears.

Police say he won't be charged. They say both boys acted heroically in trying to save their mother.

Not trtying to be an ass, but
Some times lessons are learned the hard way

A very sad story indeed... My prayers are with the 2 boys. I hope they'll get over it one day...

Horrible story. I feel so sorry for the son. The mother as well, of course, but the poor son is going to have to actually live with all this. "Should I have shot my father beforehand? Should I have not shot my father? Could I have saved my mother's life?" Etc.

What a tragic story.

I see much therapy dealing with PTSD and survivor guilt in their futures.
Hopefully they get it sooner than later

They'll never get "over it". It will stick with them for the rest of their lives.

My only hope is, they can cope with it and still live productive lives.

Very said sotry indeed. My sympathies and prayers go out to the families of these victims.
