I have a S+W 637 with rubber grips. I LOVE the look of wood grips on this gun, but cannot find any nice looking ones for under $60. I found a nice pair on eBay for around $40, but was outbid. I really could care less if the wood is "Pure African endangered species tree #4"...I don't need $60 grips. Are there any decent looking wood grips for under $40? Or close?

Do you like this look?

If so, I bought these grips from the seller below. He is great to deal with. Very good communicator. Plus, these grips won't cost ya an arm and a leg! Hope this helps!

This is pretty much the EXACT look I want, so I guess I'm going to have to wait to find some used ones or until I can some how justify spending $60+ on two pieces of wood :scrutiny:

Ahhh, I have one suggestion ... go over to Smith forums (link below) and watch their ads. Also, try running a search for "j-frame" and you'll likely see a grips that haven't sold yet. Those grips are the ones that Smith throws on their 642 Ladysmiths so you might find someone willing to part with theirs at a good price.

Nope, none that I've been able to find ... Good luck; I think 60 smackers seems to be about as cheap as any decent wood grips for snubbies gets ....

My 637 and 642 are dressed in Ajax silverwood laminate (see: www.ajaxgrips.com) boot grips; they look great, but I think you'll pay closer to 60 bucks for 'em.

Also, I think while wood grips for Airweight j-frames are the way to go for concealed carry, you'll find that if you're gonna do a lot of shooting (especially with +Ps) at the range, the rubber grips make shooting a lot easier ...
