Florida Shooters Weekend

Hi All:

This originally started on The Florida Shooters Network (http://www.floridashootersnetwork.com). A few of us thought that it might be a cool idea to get together for a weekend, to shoot, eat, and party with some of the folks that we chat with daily on the internet. Anyway, I untertook the task of putting it together. I am the RangeMaster / General Manager of the RoadEnds Shooting Club in Davenport (Haines City), Fla (dead center of the state). In a nut shell, here is what the weekend entails:

Arrive Fri nite, 11/11 get settled, get aquainted (night shoot OK).

Sat AM Coffee, Donuts, and Shooting. There will be an IPSC (USPSA) action range, a home intruder simulation shoot course (we will also do this low-light in the evening) designed and supervised by one of our local LEO's, Big Dan. There will also be two range bays open all day for "run what you brung" open shooting - the 50 yd and 100 yd bays.

Sat Lunch: BBQ (Pig Roast, burgers and dogs) and soft drinks. (Lotsa great food !) Then let the shooting continue !

Sat Eve: We can all head up to Peppers lounge for Pizza, Adult Beverages, Karaoke, and lies about how great we shot!

Sun 10 AM: We will serve an awesome ranch breakfast right on the range - Juice, Eggs, Sausage, Grits, and the best damn fried cornbread you ever tasted. Shooting continues. All are welcome to stay and enjoy the day.

Cost for the weekend is $25.00 ($10.00 for range members), includes Coffee and donuts and BBQ lunch on Saturday, Breakfast on Sunday, and shooting all weekend.

By the way, there is space to camp on the range, if you so desire. We are a working cattle ranch, so if sharing a pasture with cow (ie:friendly bovine / aka big lapdogs) doesn't set well with you, you might want to try the hotel option, or bring the RV.

Hi All:

Have gotten several emails / inquiries about the Florida Shooters weekend. Should be a lot of fun. If you are planning on attending, PLEASE take a minute to email me TODAY to confirm ( [email protected] ), as it is starting to get a little tough to keep track of, and time is drawing near. Need to start planning for number to feed, who is camping on the range, etc.

Also, if you are bringing someone, a Wife / Husband / BF/GF / SIGnificant other , cost for the second person is $15.00 for the weekend, so couple cost is $40.00

Really looking forward to seeing everyone. Should be a great weekend ! Just want to make sure everyone has my cell in case lost or whatever. It's 845-590-3010. I'll be at the range by about 5-5:30 tomorrow.

Just a quick note. A couple of comfort items to bring for the weekend, especially if you are camping on the range: Folding / Camp / Patio Chairs, Bug Spray, Flashlight. See ya on the range !
