I'm thinking about buying a Ruger 10/22 I know they aren't all that accurate but,I'm not buying it for hunting or winning target matches with, just for wasting 22 ammo.

Has anyone had any problems with the 30rd Eagle mags?

Try the Butler Creek 25-rd, Steel Lips mags. They're only about $25 now, and they work. I don't bother to keep up with my 10-22 factory mags, as I've never had a failure with the Butler Creek mags.

Don't want to sell my Ruger mags. Not even sure where they are. Will probably keep them, just in case the Butler Creeks wear out in the next twenty years or so.

The steel lips high-cap mags (Buter creek) are the ONLY ones worth paying for.
All the others are junk by comparison, even the other ones that Butler Creek makes. With the plastic-lips magazines, what always wears out first is the plastic feed lips.

The plastic lips are not always first to go. If you leave a butler creek mag loaded for a while, the spring will be trashed.
