BTW, most Fords are made right here. Only Focus is made in Mexico, but the money comes right back here.

Retired Army officer, now work as an Army contractor for a company setting up scenarios for simulation driven exercises.

Definitely not “filthy rich”, but double dipping keeps the wolves from the door and the bill collectors at bay.

Drive two Ford’s, one great 2003 and a 2004 F150 that has “issues”.

I pass gas!:D

I am a technician on a 42" natural gas pipeline that comes out of Canada and goes to Chicago, and down to Tennesee. We heat alot of homes, and no we do not own the gas. We just transport. I am not the cause of your high natural gas bills!

Chemical process operator

If you know what that is, you're one of a very few (hint, I don't wear a lab coat and tend bunsen burners). My boss, when he's in an expansive mood calls me a 'chemical engineer' - that burns up the guys who went to college and got a degree in chemical engineering - when anybody with a good eighth grade education, patience, apprentice mechanical/electrical/plumbing skills and a strong back could do my job.

Software/Technology Architect; lead designer for large and expensive military automation systems that you better hope that we never have to use in anger..... Dad three times over. Formerly a cook, janitor, garbageman, landscaper, warehouse laborer, USAR 29E/31E, and electronic bench tech.

level III support tech @ Hewlett-Packard.

My group deals only with very large coprporations and thier high-end LJ printers and MFP products. When these guys from Ford or DOE need printer help, they call me :D

Network administrator/webmaster/all around computer tech with a small business in the DC metro area.

Prior to that I was a 462/2W1 in the USAF.

Drive two Chevy trucks, a '92 and an '05.

Between the high cost of living here and my car payment, I roll pennies for guns :cuss:

I push a black and white Ford Crown Vic around for a living. Oh, I have an F 150 and I am happy with it.

Quality Engineer for a electrical cable harness manufacturer. We do mostly cables for the big boys who are providing to the military and NASA.

Absolutely nothing. Almost forgot.....shoot, fish, hike, ski, mtn. biking, snowshoeing, and taking care of my 3 month old son. I keep busy.;)

I am first and foremost a husband (24 years) and father (oldest is 20 and getting married in August), but after that, I am an avionics engineer for a major international airline (You figure it out - I live in Tulsa, OK).

Retired phone guy. 36 years with BellSouth, formerly AT&T, now soon to be AT&T again.

*shrug*

I bought myself a Jeep Cherokee, and found out later it was mostly built in Mexico. Bought my wife a Subaru and found out it was built entirely in Indiana - and say what you like about "where the money goes", but something tells me those hard-working Americans in Indiana probably recieved a paycheck or two for building that car.

Oh, and I have a couple of friends who work at the Toyota plant in West Virginia. They've never mentioned anything about having to hang out there for free.

I did that for 3 years while laid off from Ford during the big crunch. We were called Chemical Process Technicians. My experience there could net me a pipefitter's job.:D
