Stupid Stubborn Cat!

i was told a story of one guy shooting roaming cats with .22 but not in letal areas, so he does not have to hide it later, it would die somewhere else...

Why would a new member post a sick story? Why would they write like a 13 year old in an IM session: no punctuation, no spell check, and can't find the Shift key on their keyboard?

To give the cat even more fear, I sometimes open the door with the GSD on the lease to give it a good scare.
So, are rental dogs more ferocious than others? :)

WS,
Wasn't too keen on your postings initially. A lot of what was said under your robin posting made sense. You're young, and we all did at least some things that we now think are unwise or otherwise unacceptable. The one thing I am glad of is that, though some of your early replies were a bit snippy (at least in part in response to being scolded, I'm guessing), you have taken some of the serious advice well and are learning from it. Keep going on that path. Good luck.

As for the cat, I'm not a big fan of cats, so my advice wouldn't be much different than many of the responses so far, though there are a lot of creative possibilities.

Capture the cat and make it live indoors with your cat for two weeks. Break up any fights that occur (leather gloves come in handy), and by the end of the two weeks the two of them will be best of friends.

If it's a neighbor's cat, they'll be thrilled to be reunited with their "lost" kitty. :D

Are you talking about me?

No, your typing is fine! My comment was directed at a newbie who thinks it cute to relate illiterate ramblings extoling the virtues of shooting to injure. Makes the whole board look guilty by association.

Catch it in a live trap, take it to the shelter two counties over.

Or

Nasty as it sounds, catch it alive, and urinate all over it--the gesture will cause the cat to realize that it is an intruder in a dominant creature's territory.

Whatever you do, don't expect to catch it again--once they're caught, they can't be caught again.

Then how do you let it out of the cage afterwards, without being ripped to shreds? Hide in a tree and open it with a string? Cats can climb trees.

LOL,

I just have this picture in my mind of someone trying to hold a cat with one hand whilst trying to pee on it with the other:D

Cats can be lethal to soft body tissue at close range, just makes me wince:eek:

thats for the disturbing image lmao

I can just imagin the po'ed look on the cats face as you hold it by the neck momma kitty style and pee on it lol

I have heard cats hate to be pooed on even worse. Ever notice how you never find cats "down below" in the out house? That’s the reason. Try pooing on the cat, trap optional, I'd be curious to find if my hypothesis holds. Please post pictures of wounds for cost/ benefit analysis.

I second the paintball gun. They learn quickly after one or two shots. Don't ask me how I know this. Just know that I do.

you guys are investing too much effort trying to urinate/deficate on the damned critter, buy a tazer, if you can close range, they are mighty effective

thanks guys

He hasnt been back for about a week now, for all I know. But if he does I'll shoot him with my paintball gun  .

You ask for help in the hunting area on a gun board and the answers are very likely going to involve killing it... ;) I was also going to suggest Super Colibri or 22 CBs

Animal control will furnish the trap and come collect the trapee in many locals. If the cat has a tag they could fine the neighbor, if not they will either put the cat up for adoption or put it to sleep.

If the trap is on your property there is nothing the neighbor can do.

I just don't understand. You didn't have any difficulty killing the innocent little Robbin. Now you can't get rid of a pesky cat that beats up on your cat. Be a man! Pellet gun in hand. Aim tru. Once in the arse should be enough to let him know that he's not welcome on your land. But if your kitty roams for foreign lands, don't be surprised to find a few cat scratches on him once in a while.

trap it and take it to a shelter.
your tax dollars are already paying for it, may as well make use of it.

My dad managed to get rid of a pesky cat quite by accident when I was young. F-150 did a number on the poor creature.

I did end up having to wash it though. :fire:

Ok time to get serious. If you are afraid your cat is getting beat up. Or you dont want to get rid of the intruder. I have a suggestion. Take your kitty to self defense classes:) . Or better yet, I will give you my mother inlaws address. She can add it to her collection:D .
Ok I fell off the deep end for a moment. I would just catch it and call animal control.
