Back from Iraq!

Howdy all,

after 7 fun filled months in scenic downtown Ar Ramadi, 3/7 rolled back into 29 "Worst place in America" Palms a couple days ago! Needless to say I'm thrilled to be home. Been getting settled in to our new apartment and spending time with my beloved wife.

I've been supported by the fine people on this board on every step of my journey from DEP to boot camp, SOI, the fleet, and now Iraq. I appreciate everyone who wrote kind words or sent me books etc while I was over there. Thank you all so much. I'll be trying to spend more time here and let ya'll know how life is going. Damn, but it's good to be home!

Welcome home and Thanks. sometimes you don't realize how good it is to be in the USA until you have been gone for awhile. I know that is how I felt the few times I was visiting outside. Even though mine was for vacation I was never so glad and thankful to get back home. I guess I am like Dorthy.
