I read somewhere that the ATF has 60 days to decide whether or not to issue a C&R, before you can force a decision through some appeals (for lack of a better word) process. 60 days will be within the next week.

I read that one of you guys got his license in 2 weeks, and I haven't seen any trace of mine 2 months later. Since the price of my proposed first C&R gun keeps going up ($30 since I started looking earlier this year), I want my license already!

Anyone know what this procedure is, or for that matter why I haven't gotten my license yet? I have documentation of its receipt, so it's not like they never got it.

Thanks for the help.

Just curious, did they take out your $30? I noticed that I got mine a few weeks after the withdrawal. If no withdrawal happened, they may have lost your paperwork. Have you tried contacting them via phone or their website?
Keep us posted.

They deposit your check immediately upon reciept to greatly reduce their chances of losing it. If it hasnt been cashed yet, they've lost it.
If your license is rejected, they issue a refund check.

Application received ~2/15, check cleared 2/21.

My FFL told me that for IL applications, they refuse to answer questions on the progress (he was a C&R first, and got the same run around). Anyone know if that's the case?

Anyone happen to know the # off-hand?

Here you are, Eastwood : 866-662-2750

I think that number's still good - it's been over a year since I last used it. My C&R took about 80 days to arrive. I had to call multiple times before I actually was able to speak with the agent who was processing my app. Got his voice-mail the first few times & his voice-mailbox was always full so I couldn't leave any messages. The last time I called, I asked the nice lady if she could put me in contact with Agent X's supervisor as it had been over 60 days and I had been unsuccessful in establishing contact with him via telephone or e-mail. Agent X then came on the line as if by magic!

Give them a call and explain your situation to the person who answers & I'll bet you get some results. Be persistent if necessary.

Let us know how it goes.

I paid by credit card and it was charged in late January. I got my license about 3 weeks later, but I didn't bother calling them. I kind of liked the anticipation of asking the wife daily if I got it. Now I like asking her if we have gotten any big boxes lately.

Took 3-4 weeks for mine from the time they received it 'till I had it in the mail.

Does seem to depend some on where you are and what agent you're dealing with; some are real good about getting it done, some are not.

Definately call, e-mail, etc. and ask.

Got mine within a few weeks.

Had a friend apply, kinda forgot about it, and than asked me how long it took for mine, this was months later. He called, they had sent it out long ago, he just never got it. They reissued it to him, no problem.
