.45ACP Revolver Pictures!

Here's my FAVORITE S&W revolver a 25-2 .45ACP wheelgun with a shortened, 3 1/4" barrel.

It started as a Model 25-2 target revolver w/ a 6" barrel. It was then customized by an outstanding, now deceased gunsmith and has the most incredible double action AND single action trigger I've felt on any Smith. The wide target trigger was radically narrowed, smoothed of its grooves and rounded for double action revolver competitions.

It's the fastest handgun into action of any I've ever handled (reacting to a PACT timer test on the range) and has wonderful balance and swing!

Yeah . . . its kind of difficult to carry concealed . . . but that big ol' revolver, with it's huge .451 diameter holes in the barrel and cylinder would surely get attention from an attacker!

It's the S&W they should have built . . . I LOVE THE 3" BARREL SMITHS, PERIOD!

This stainless Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt/.45 ACP Convertible with 7 1/2" barrel is my only .45 ACP revolver at the moment...

I dont know what it is but Im a autoloader guy at heart but over the last few months I have started to crave revolvers. Ive bought 2 since(642w/CT's and a 60LS) to go with a Taurus 66 .357 I had. I have really been craving a .45 revolver. Especially the S&W Performace Center short and snub nosed ones. I think this thread has put me over the top! Something about the thickness of the frame and cylinder get me going!

S&W Love

Hi guys, sorry to raise the dead, but this past friday, I went and got myself a NIB S&W SS 5" M625. I think that I'm in love, but I don't much care for the rubber grips. Do any of you know where I could look online for some nice wooden grips? I appreciate any info you can give me.

I'm trying to find the pictures of my good ones, but here is a 1917 Colt:

Here is mine, it pulls double duty with both a 45 ACP and 45 Colt cylinder. Cimmoron arms imported Uberti Thunderer 45ACP/45Colt conversion.
Amazing fit and finish with really attractive checkered wood grip, a great gun to shoot in either caliber as long as non plus P loadings are utilized.

Hey wundudnee...That sure is a beautiful Pre 26. I love the old Smith's. One of these is high on my want list to go with my 1950 Target in .44 Spl.

Nice pics. Don't know why, because revolvers have never interested me much, but I've wanted a 45 ACP one for a long time now :)
