i am going to invest in a 9mm soon and i was wondering what would be the best one to get in terms of reliability.. accuracy and price..

The most accurate and reliable autos that I have ever fired have been the Glocks, Berreta 92, Hk USP, Sig 229, and a Smith & Wesson 910. I have never experienced a malfunction while shooting any of these weapons and the S&W was the most accurate.

I fired a CZ75 a long time ago before I really knew much about guns. It never jammed, but I cant remember the accuracy of it. I hear from many owners that they are very accurate.

Best price, best accuracy, best reliability & highest level of cool...P7M8 :D If you wanna go to the other end of the price scale, I'd go Glock :D :D

Well, these are the two 9's I own and carry.

And...

911.jpg

Both have capacities of 15+1. Although the newer PT92 (the top picture) has a capacity of 17+1.

Both of mine are accurate and reliable, and the street price is well below the MSRP on both. Of course, you don't have to go the fancy route like I did on the lower one. But that was my 49th birthday present.

The top one, I've had for 14 years. It's never failed to fire, and never jammed.

CZ P01 - you will be IN LOVE...

GREAT Value

GREAT Laser-like Accuracy

SWEET in the hand...

Putting my vote in for the Ruger P95.Mine shoot 2.5 to 3 in.groups at 25 yards using winchester 115 gr fmj 100 round pack. Silver bear and brown bear russian 115gr Jhp and 145gr.jhp bullets are what mine likes. Hates WOlf.:( Both P95s are for IDPA competition and informal bowling pin shoots.Round count thru them each is at 3500.Other Rugers such as the models 93,94,or 89 are well made. They are steel framed.Good luck.:)

this one gets my vote.....

MY buddy has a Beretta 92fs and it is my favorite 9mm. That thing shoots like a dream.

Go with the Glock 17 to start out with.

I would start out with the Glock 17 with 17+1 rounds. In addition, you can get 31 round magazines for this handgun. It's an excellent handgun to start with in the 9 mm class handgun. It will rarely break for any reason, and you can fire up to 100,00 rounds through this handgun without any problems.

That's just my opinion, take if for what it's worth. I would go with what has a long rate of success.

GunsAmerica.com: SIGarms P-226 DAK-R

I'd check www.gunsamerica.com for the sweet SIGarms P-226 DAK-R model 9mmNATO. :D

I'd also look at the FNH High Power SFS model 9mmNATO. Depending on the use of the 9mmNATO pistol; target, CCW, protection, etc and your skill level this may be a good selection. ;)

Big ups to the HK P-2000 9mmNATO and the Ruger KP-95DAO(double action only).

For carry rounds get some W-W Ranger 127gr +p+ loads or Speer Gold dot bonded 124gr JHP 9mmNATO.

RS

PS: I'd use CorBon's PowRball 9mmNATO loads or Federal's EFMJ rounds for your spare/back up mags. They feed well and offer good ballistics.

My vote is for the CZ-75. It's the best value on the market in my opinion. It's easily as good as guns costing twice as much. My CZ-75B is more accurate than my Sig 226 and has a better trigger. They're also extremely reliable and rugged.

im going with a 2003 glock 17... its cheap manufactured 2003.. by cheap i mean i can get it for 200.. soo yea.... thanks guys!

I have a sig p226 9mm and a cz75 d compact pcr. If you were to make me choose which one I had to keep and which one I had to get rid of....I would keep the cz.
Also check out the glock 17 or 26.

Take your time. Shoot a variety of guns. Pick the one that fits you the best.

Tough to argue with the CZ 75/85 line of pistols. Price is right and they are dpendable, accurate solid guns that will last you a lifetime.

Take care

And the answer to that question would be a G19 or G17 Glock. If price was not in the criteria, there are other good ones out there that would fit the bill--Sigs come to mind.

Bar none, the best bang-for-buck 9mm out there right now is a barely used CZ 75B or BD. You can get one for $300 or sometimes under. It's a phenomenal pistol that you will never regret owning and will never sell. Trust me, I did the research about a year ago into the best bang-for-buck 9mm pistol out there.

Another major contender in bang-for-buck (inexpensive, totally reliable, pretty accurate) is the Ruger P95 or P89 (new or used). You can get a used one for $200 if you look hard, but $250 isn't too hard to find. It will last forever and fire even +P+ rounds.

I fired the two head to head and found the CZ to be superior in terms of ergonomics and accuracy (plus better looking :D ). So for about the same price as a Ruger, I got myself a barely used CZ 75 BD, and I couldn't be happier. I will never sell this gun....

A lot of people have suggested great guns, but bang-for-buck, they're not as good as a CZ 75. Glocks are $500. XDs pretty close to that. Sigs, H&Ks, etc. are all fantastic guns, but much more expensive. I just don't think the value of a CZ 75 can be beat. For a long time it was the best kept secret, but now the popularity is increasing (and so are prices). So that's another plus... if you ever want to sell it (yeah right! ), its value will likely INCREASE if you take good care of it.

Just my $.02 from a guy who just went through what you're going through right now not too long ago.

The CZ-75D PCR is the best carry/range value in 9MM. It beats out my Sig P228 as favorite carry 9MM. My Browning Hi Power is my favorite 9MM, but more $$$ than the CZ.
