My everyday CCW stable.

I've been carrying a steel snub of one sort or another almost 30 years now.
You'll find me carrying at least one of the five below everyday. They're all great "working" guns.

The only alloy revolvers I've ever owned were a Model 37, which was just too light for regular shooting, and a 1973 Colt Cobra that I bought brand new in 1976. I really liked that Cobra, but since I had a Model 40 and a Model 49, I ended up giving it to my Mother for personal protection in 1981

Except for my Colt Commander, I really don't care for alloy guns. So all of my other handguns are STEEL.

I think this will comfirm my membership in The Steel Snub Club.

I apologize for the poor photo quality.
The sun hadn't yet made it through the trees this morning.

Off topic, I know, but...

1st Gen Glock, No Finger Grooves in the Frame, No Light Rail!

2nd Gen Glock, Does Have Finger Grooves, No Light Rail!

3rd Gen. Glock Finger Grooves and Does Have Light Rail!

Actually, my Glock 17 which was manufactured in 1992 is different than the 1st Generation Glock 17's. Like the first batch my model has no finger grooves (or tac-rail), but the grip's stippling on mine is different and mine has serrations/checkering on its front- and back-straps which the true 1st Gens did not have. Perhaps nowadays my gun is lumped in with the 1st Gens, but it is clearly not a first Generation Glock 17.

Sorry to interrupt this thread.

S&W10mm......You are wrong, there has never been a first gen glock 22. There were 17's and a very few 19's(extremely rare!). If you can lay hands on a first gen 22 you have the rarest glock of them all, one that was NEVER MADE:D .....I too am sorry to go off topic here.

I'm w/ ya on this one! I just love my 60 too & my next wheelgun is going to be a 640. You really can't beat a steel gun!

***? Bad enough the thread went off topic a little but how the hell did Glocks get in this thread? BTW, nice 19, Slick6! The 19 is my favorite S&W.

Well new member, how about you let the mods worry about me taking this discussion off topic (which I already apologized for) and I'll let them worry about your abbreviated swear words, which we all know makes Arts grandma cringe:D .

Just to change things a bit,me like taurus 85CH. Who is gonna say I cocked it first or at all? And for giggles and grins there is the Taurus 65 two and a half inch barrel in.357.Oh yeah! :D In nickel no less.

I just joined. I will be picking up my new used Taurus 605 tomorrow. Let me put on a different grip and pics will follow.

I regularly pack around an old S&W model 36. It is in bad shape cosmetically but shoots just fine. Bought it a couple of years ago for $100.

New Member - Taurus 605

As promised ladies and germs...my new used Blue Steel Taurus 605 .357 MAG 2 in bbl. Paid all of $175.00 and test fired at the range today. It is sweet. You know you done good when the good ol' boys at the range, including instructors and former MP's and all around serious gun guys compliment the purchase and the gun. I am really happy with my new CCW.

The collection is growing

Nickle S&W Model 10 2"
Blue Model 36 2"
ST Model 640-1

and today I snared a Model 19-6 21/2 " blue round butt for $200:what:

Anybody got an idea on the vintage of my new toy?

I'm totally pleased with my Ruger SP101 2 1/8" .357 with a Hogue rubber grip added on.

Although a bit weighty, I have carried it in the side pocket of my cargo shorts. Lightened the trigger with a spring kit I bought from Dillon Precision and makes a world of difference.

Takes a pounding at the range and doesn't even hiccup.:)

My Taurus 605 With New Grips

I promise these are the last pics of this:

The boot grips make it the perfect CCW. :D

Lucky 7. The Taurus grips are boot grips from Numrich Gun Parts. I just did a search for grips and came up with them.

Cost about $8.50. I tried to order from Taurus over the phone and I think the order went into the ether.
