Rap: All the hardcore stuff. More Beanie Sigel & Freeway than Young Joc or Outkast. I'm a child of the 80's though, and old Geto Boys or NWA, Eazy-E, KRS-One, Eric B & Rakim, or any of the old-school stuff is my favorite.

R&B: Nothing new. I like older R&B. Think Luther... :D

Rock: Sitting next to me is about 5 White Stripes albums, same amount of Metallica, and there's some Nirvana thrown in for good measure. The older I get, the more I like classic rock (70's).

I also like classic country (like 1940's -50's -60's.. thank my grandmother for that), blues, Philly soul, Motown, and believe it or not, I can appreciate some classical music as well.

Anything but modern country or christian music, really.

Edit: I can't believe no one has mentioned Stevie Wonder by now.

New country, old school country or certain christian groups. Throw in some blues and I'm good

I have a FEW hip hop songs, but those are about 1% of my ipod stuff.

im one metal listenin human being. I like a very wide array of music but you can rest assured that 9 times out of 10 when you get in my truck youll hear something along the lines of slayer, lamb of god, iron maiden or black sabbath.
Love classic rock most country......shoot if they play guitars i like it for the most part.

a little of everything. Primarily 80's stuff. Some "modern" stuff. I have classical, rock, metal, easy listening, rap, country, show tunes, etc. in my iPod. Currently cycling through the songs that VH1 included in their "80's A-Z" special a few months ago.

I could post the names and album/track titles of my favourite bands, but a lot are not appropriate for this forum.

So, erm, HEAVY METAL.

THRASH, DEATH, SPEED, POWER, and BLACK METAL. Pretty much in that order.

i mostly like country Hank Jr being my favorite, but i also like johnny cash and charlie daniels.

among contemporary country artists i like toby keith, alan jackson brad paisley and few other artists

i also like a little bit of bluegrass, classic rock, blues, jazz, and gospel.

i cannot stand Rap or "hip hop":barf:
and alot of modern rock gives me a headache:banghead:

Bah! Someone took the Country & Western joke from the blues brothers already...

Anyways. I like everything. Country, Old school gangsta rap, alternative, emo, anything really except R&B/hip-hop. Old school R&B i can do. Jazz I can do. I'm equally as likely to have Kid Rock, NWA, Toby Keith, Vivaldi, Sinatra, or a mix CD in my stereo. My current favorite is "Beethoven's Last Night" by the trans-siberian orchestra. PLEASE look it up and get the storyline. If it interests you, buy the CD. I bought it after accidentally listening to "Who is this child" because someone was a total idiot and labeled it on Napster (Yeah, it was that long ago) as Phantom of the opera, which it was clearly not. I think its BETTER.

A lot of Metal and the stem-genres from it (Spineshank, Metallica, Marilyn Manson, White Zombie, Element 80, Lamb of God, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Paradise Lost, Cathedral, Suicial Tendencies, Disturbed, Sanctuary, Slayer etc...) to classic rock (Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, CCR, ZZ Top, Charlie Daniels, etc...) to more trippy/techo/hybrid stuff (Garbage, NIN, Mono, Chemical Brothers or remixes of other genres etc...) to blues (B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Johnny Lee Hooker, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Vaughn) to classical (Tchaikovsky mostly) to rap (DMX, Ice Cube, Top Authority, Eminem, Lil John etc...) to poppy stuff (Allanis Morrisette, Avril Lavigne, Bare Naked Ladies etc...) to classics (Johnny Cash, The Coasters, Cab Calloway, Fats Domino, Otis Redding etc…).

Honestly, it really depends on my mood, I can go from wanting aggressive and fast moving music (metal, DMX etc...) when I’m working on my guns or doing computer work to chilling out and having some scotch listening to classical or blues to grilling out and listening to Clapton and the Beatles while tossing back a few Rolling Rocks or Corona’s....

My MP3 player that I have in the car and take with me most places I go has 1856 songs on it (almost 8gigabytes-worth) and has something from just about every genre and cross-genre except bubblegum boy bands (N-SYNC) and overly religious themed music. I just put it on random and go with the flow most of the time. The playlist is probably 60% metal or other heavier-type music, if that gives you an idea as to my most common preference.

Right now it's playing "Bullet With a Name on It" from Nonpoint and oddly enough, it just finshed playing "Vote With a Bullet" from Corrosion of Conformity. :uhoh:

Haha, I DL'd that same damn thing...I agree, it's awesome and better than Phantom. :D

Da Blues (Muddy Waters, Albert King, BB King, Robert Cray Band, et al), Country (From George Jones to Rascal Flatts and everything in between), Bepop (Charlie Parker, Mingus, Dizz Gillespie, Miles Davis, etc), Classic Rock, maybe some new rock every now and then. Then some random stuff like Sir-Mix-Alot and stuff.

Dave Matthews Band?

Old4x4,

Anyone that listens to DIO and 40's Big Band is cool with me. DIO:evil: RAWKS! I also dig that 40's stuff as well....always reminds me of Disney/MGM.

Beers on me should we ever meet.

Any of you guys have a Yahoo radio account? My station is slg2qcorreia.

Anything and Everything

I grew up listening to oldies, country, and classic rock.

In highschool I got into punk rock, bands like Bad Religion, Rancid, Less Than Jake, NOFX, and Operation Ivy.

In College I still listened to punk, but took a couple music history classes that really broadend my tastes. Now I'll listen to anything from classical harpsicord to old school rap.

Lately I have been listening to:
The Clash
The Pouges
Dropkick Murphys
Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers
Al Green
The Kill Bill Vol. 1 soundtrack.

Edit: oh yeah, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, and Hank Williams Jr.

Mostly hard rock/metal but the mood Im in also has alot to do with it. I like Killswitch Engage, Clutch, Lamb of God, Drowning Pool, Crowbar. I also like oldies like Otis Redding, Wilson Picket, Jackie Wilson, and most other Motown. I really love Rock and roll, both classic and modern : Led Zeplin, REO Speedwagon, Styx, The Allman Brothers Band, Robin Trower (Bridge of Sighs), Rolling Stones, Rush, GnR, early Metalica (from black album back), Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, Pantera, the list goes on and on and on.......
